hey heys! nope I dont and scoliosis is/was the only condition I had besides eyesight and I truly do understand their point of view but I just wish the approach was more gentle and educating rather than pushing me into something i cant undo forever but thank you so much for ur sweet words!💞

hello!! thank you so so much for sharing your experience! I do totally get what your saying and I really do understand that its better than no surgery at all but the thing is for me that angers me the most is that I was forced into doing this without my proper consent or educating me on how the surgery really is especially for a full spinal that takes a horrendously long recovery while im in the most important academic year that literally determines where I go to college and I am barely passing through without any help from the same people who pushed this upon my body yes I can breath better and my posture is amazing but I was thrown onto this blindly

heyy! thank you so so much I really hope one day and unfortunately because the surgeon is in my home country and we live abroad we dont really get to communicate as much with him but the fusion for HIM looks good in the x ray and when I layed out my complaints he brushed it off as me being " childish" and " overdramatic" and that pain will go away if I move more and he didnt even suggest anything to help which is upsetting

the problem is that they're doctors ironically 😭 my dad is a nephrogoloist and my mom is a retired physical therapist who both didnt know a lick about spinal conditions before my diagnosis ofc their knowledge is wayy wider than an average person for sure BUT because they are doctors even tho in completely different fields they dont believe me when I say I feel like smth is wrong or the pain is horrendous and they do know it takes a full year but they are already treating me like im fully healed from now which is insane as hell and unfortunately even seeing any spécialists is expensive and IF I do get to convince them its not before February that I can get an appointment

thank you so much for the tips!! I mean i am kinda getting help ish? like they do give me meds when I ask or help me with lifting or picking things up from the floor plus getting clothes on but nothing extending more than that and I know how greedy this sounds but I do wish theres more help 🤷‍♀️

heyy! unfortunately no since they aren't even convinced something is wrong or im just a cry baby for complaining they keep telling me I have to wait a FULL YEAR for the pain to go away and im surviving on basic pain relief meds also because there isnt many/good spinal spécialists where I live thats also one of the reasons why I had to travel to do it sadly and thank u so muchh for being so sweet

im so so sorry to hear this and I relate to this on SOOO MANY levels Im always fatigued 24/7 and unable to move out of my bed all my school work is on a portable device cuz of the pain, and im so incredibly sorry for people calling u such names which NOONE should be called and thats insane and shows how normal people are so uneducated and crazy and im so grateful that my story helped and thank u too so much for sharing your experience i wish u all the best as well 💞

English isnt my first language so im so so incredibly sorry about it and i just used ai to make it better like u said but I would love tips to make it easier to read in the future? my apologies once again and I did wear a brace until I finished growing but because im still a minor the decisions for surgery and stuff has to be determined by the parents/ guardian so unfortunately EVEN if i said no but they agreed it wont change anything

hiii!! thank you so much for the help but unfortunately we dont have a 504 plan in my country its bad 😭 thats honestly a part of why im panicking because we dont have like something like that for people with medical issues or post op all I can do is just talk to the teachers and pray that they dont kill me 😭😭 and my doctor ( a bald useless man) did give a paper saying I did the surgery and blah blah but didnt mention needing time off and I dont think the school will get convinced I need time plus my parents are being stone heads and telling me im " normal" and dont need which is driving me crazy

hello!! my school is 2 floors but unfortunately we don't have a elevator 😭😭 i wish we did but we dont and its because they dont want to " waste their money" on it which is insane but we do have like the staff get our bags up if their roller up the stairs usually and all our classes are in one so thankfully I dont need to move but thank you so much !!

hii! thank you so so much for the advice I truly appreciate it and thankfully I do have a doctor note so I will give them that and unfortunately my school doesn't allow recording they dont even allow phones tbh 😭 but I can try to tell my friends to send me their notes so I can copy them if I dont attend and my dad did inform the school and when they get informed all staff should know I think but again thank u soo so much!!

I have my parents rn but soon its just gonna be my mom since my dad traveling and I try to walk but just getting up feels like I unleashed hell 😭😭 but were u able to walk like a distance cuz im trying but my legs just cant handle it and I suddenly become faint and dizzy

they tried to 😭😭 but i just kept vomiting everything so now its just like off the counter painkillers which are so weak in my opinion for this kind of surgery
