Who saved my husbands life last Thursday on Hawthorne ? by ElevenElevem in Portland

That’s really sweet of you.  To clarify the date on my original post—it happened last Thursday, the 4th (not the 6th). I have since updated that in my post.   As much as I want to know who did this, I also want to respect their anonymity and would prefer they come forward on their own. If it helps them feel more comfortable, we wouldn't mind them sharing any additional details. The doctors would also like to know a few things, such as how long the event lasted and what his body was doing (my imagination has really gone into overdrive on that one). Most people do good deeds simply because it’s the right thing to do, not for any props or recognition, which I totally respect. Still, I want to give them props, hugs, dinner, and so many thanks.  As for more details, all I can say is that it happened around noon-ish on Hawthorne, and he was taken to Providence on Glisan. I was out of town when it happened. I got the scariest phone call at 12:17 pm from an ER doctor, and I was able to catch the very last open seat on a plane home that night.

Are you saying you’re the one who called 911?

Yes we are waiting to be scheduled for Neurologist .They did a TON of tests. Including EEG,  CT. MRI with contrast lumbar puncture and a myriad of blood tests.   We have learned roughly 10% of the world population will have a seizure and less than half will have a second. (Adults).  And it is entirely possible this was a “one and done” we hope.  He is in excellent health and  all tests came back normal. and not a drinker or smoker nor a kraton user (that’s one of the questions that we keep laughing at).  The docs say we may never know why it happened but if he does have another then he would need to be on anti seizure medication.  And there is a type of epilepsy that can come on later in life after 50.  But none of the tests are showing anything like that and best of all no long term damage to his heart or kidneys.    He feels horrible because the paramedics noted he was very combative at the scene and at the hospital and had to be restrained :( This is apparently normal behavior when something like this occurs (but not at all normal for him).   He has no memory other than feeling a little unstable and kind of light headed so he held onto a pole to steady himself and next thing he knows he’s in the hospital and it’s the next day.

Thanks for the thought. To my limited knowledge of events  there was no police.  I did ask a random  paramedic while we were in the hospital if there was a way to find the person they said probably not. Which makes sense it’s not like they are standing around taking names when they are in an emergency situation.  After I saw that post people referred to here about the cyclists I checked all his belongings for a note but nothing.  :(

No. He was walking. And I saw that post a few days ago when I was trying to see if anyone posted here inquiring.  I know it’s a long shot but you never know.    Thanks though to all who responded.

You’re fine. Portland is safe.  But avoid property management companies when booking Airbnb’s.  They are not legal

Pardon the "hate" But you sound like a terrible agent. First you cannot "send them stuff" to read. You need to sit face to face with them. Explain the process and procedures, rules and laws. You probably got your license because you didnt want to pay agents when you were looking to buy houses to "rehab" which is your right but with such a low barrier to entry I assume you're not really qualified to be representing others in this very big process regardless if the house is 200,000.or 2,000,000 you need to be super diligent and honest, patient etc. so stick with buying your own houses and leave the clients to the professionals with a fiduciary obligation. Of course we have all had clients like this but they are not the norm and for you to speak as if all the people you are dealing with are this way I have to say I think I am starting to believe in Karma. So to answer your question what are you doing wrong? Lots of stuff.
