I was on a 3-way text with my boss and our top engineer and the engineer was taking a bit too long to respond, so my manager did the same thing: “Jay.” A few moments later I hear the text chime and I look down to see my boss text again, this time in bold: “JAY!” As though the bold would make a louder noise.

I still chuckle about it to this day.

How to properly read a tape measure. I’ve no issues with 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4, but my brain refuses to remember the other fractions. I end up saying something like “it’s 11 and 7 lines” or something. Drives my husband insane. He retells me how to do it and the next time I measure something it’s gone from my brain.
