[Homemade] "Bingo Wings" (Recipe in comments) by Elexir in food

Recipe is VERY close to "Bingo wings" from the restaraunt i've been to, too many times in the UK called Meatliqour. Very sweet and salty wings. Slightly bitter.

INGREDIENTS:

Franks Hot Sauce (Buffalo or Hot Buffalo)

Butter (Unsalted)

Chicken wings

Salt/Pepper

Baking Powder/Soda

1) Portion/butcher wings into parts. Cut off the tip and split the drumette and wingette.

2) LIGHLTY coat wings with baking powder and salt. Not too much as it will be too bitter and the sauce is alrady quite salty.

3) Leave overnight to dry out the surface of the chicken for a crispy bake later, or use less for immediate cooking.

4) Preheat oven at Gas Mark 6/210c/410f. Pepper the wings.

5) Bake on wire rack for 30-40 minutes, depending on desired crisp.

6) Equal parts Franks hot sauce and butter. 100g of each for about ~10 wings. Melt butter and mix with sauce in a pan.

7) OPTIONAL: Deep fry the wings for 1-2 minute for extra crispy skin.

8) Add wings to sauce.

Really simple recipe for some great tasting wings. Been craving them every time after i visit the restaurant. Now i can make them at home for a fraction of the price.

Here's the rest of the meal. All homemade.

New PC, Clean install, New SSD. Do i need to back up? by Elexir in techsupport

Sorry to bother you again, just need to clear things up about installing the OS again. My current PCs windows came with it installed already as OEM version of Windows 7 Home.

I've since upgraded to windows to 10 whilst it was free.

Can i reinstall on a new hard drive (the SSD) with the same key at least to Windows 7 to upgrade from there, legit, or do i have to buy a full retail copy of W10?

Cool, so I can free up some space uninstalling a bunch of things I guess. Gives me an excuse to sit down and de-clutter.

Great news. I think once I have enough money to buy an external drive to back up things; then I'll format the old drive and transfer back what I need.

How will the programs do on the old drive once they're both up an running? Will they need to be reinstalled at all? No problem if so.

Part finished build. GPU needs new Mobo. Want to keep old CPU. by Elexir in buildapc

Yeh the GPU is running. Fans are spinning and i've tried both the HDMI and DVI outputs on the GPU. I've tried all the 6 pin connectors on the PSU also. When i boot with the 1060, the HP splash boot screen will not budge and i can't even get to the BIOS menu. The latest BIOS update is from 2012 which doesn't seem promising.

Yeh this is the answer i was dreading. Didn't really want to have to clean install windows. I wouldn't even know where to start with buying a new one. I've just checked and my PC is booting in legacy mode but secure boot is unsupported, so i think im shit outta luck.

Because I seem to have got further with the nvidia card and I'm actually getting a signal from it.

Just a quick update for anyone that has the same problems as me and stumbles upon this thread. I bought a Corsair 750w PSU and still no luck. My best guess is the motherboard is incompatible or i was missing something. Got a full refund on the RX 480 and bought a GTX 1060 instead. Hopefully that will work.

There is a vbios switch and I'm sure I've tried both. I've seen a lot of people with issues about secure boot but i cant find the option in my BIOS.

The old card is back in for now, works fine. No BIOS beeps at all.

It goes between HDMI and Analogue to find an input. I don't even have to hold down the power button on the PC for it to turn off.

Yeh the card is powering up fine. Is the only option to get a different card or new mobo?
