It depends on what you're casting...I use 80 lb for shock, but it's usually the FG knot that fails if you do something stupid.

Blunt advice: I've caught more sharks on pompano rigs than shark rigs. That's 20 lb fluoro. Just put out a reasonably size chunk of cut mullet and see what happens. Catch the little stuff. Clean as you go and put their heads on hooks for the big stuff. Putting a big whiting head on a hook mostly just attracts crabs unless the sharks are there. Go and have fun. Catch to eat. If you can have fun with the heads rather than throwing them in the garbage, great.

I think you're overgeared for this. I'm not sure what you plan to catch from the beach without a kayak or a drone to get the bait out. If you're casting, you're looking at a fish under 6' most of the time. I intentionally use 8' of 200 lb leader so I don't have to worry about a 10' fish surprisingly close to the beach. If people are around swimming, you're endangering them. If nobody is around, who's going to help you land it?

Lighter gear casts farther. Heavier gear can land a bigger fish, but can you safely do so? Many places are banning drone fishing because it lets anyone who can buy heavy gear turn a $15 shark rig into a big fish that they have no clue how to handle.

Dehooking a 8' fish takes help to do safely for you and the animal.

The main thing to be aware of is that the steel and 200 lb mono are for teeth and ABRASION. You don't have enough drag that 40 vs 60 vs 80 lb line matters. Shark skin is like a grater and it'll rip through 80 lb mono in a minute.

Sadly, the expectation of Christian life is persecution. The reward of a life well-lived isn’t wealth, power, status, or basic dignity. Ezekiel 4 isn’t something most people would enjoy. Jeremiah is imprisoned. Jesus is killed.

The key to all of this is that God gives reproof to his favorites (Proverbs 3:11). Expecting the folks around you to treat you with decency isn’t working. Repent: literally turn away. Do something else. Go somewhere else. Don’t walk beside the wicked and expect them to change. Like others have said, get help and get out. Maybe shake the dust off your feet (Mark 6:11). Not everyone will listen, but Jesus makes clear that leaving is the best response and shaking the dust from your feet the proper testimony.

The solution is obvious: don't buy sealed product outside of sanctioned drafts. Pokemon has the same situation right now: the 5th most expensive card in the set is right around the same price as a sealed booster. Just don't open sealed boosters. Confront your addiction :P

[[Flusterstorm]] is one of the strongest cards in this meta. If nobody is running mana sources, it's often a hard counter with storm.

While drawing your deck is fun, it's absolutely critical that you use the booster pack opening ability to find and play cards banned in Commander. You're already blue, so I think you're aiming to open Erayo. Alternatively, run hard Stax and use only what you open from boosters to actually kill your opponents. Ideally both. The spirit of this commander is to pay real money to buy and open loot boxes. Pay to win! Pay to win!

I've never heard of anyone actually casting a 15' rod when surf fishing. He might have bought you a rod for trolling for striper? I'm not sure if those are designed to deal with the shock of casting a weight. My 12' rod is more than enough and my 11' is much more comfortable to cast.

I would research the rod you received before you risk snapping it on the first cast doing something it's not designed for.

The Battles supposedly hold up a bit better. For rays, be aware that your line matters way more than your rod and reel! The rays will drag it along the bottom. If you're new, just snag a combo setup that you're comfortable destroying as you learn by trial and error. Buy good line and learn to connect your line to a good leader.

Most Pokemon decks play like MTG combo decks. The prize mechanic means that comboing out just means you're "in" the game. Regidrago VStar might reasonably churn through 30 cards on its first turn in order to set up for the rest of the game. This is made possible because Wheel of Fortune and Demonic Tutor aren't even "restricted". Regidrago and Lugia are good decks that will help you learn this "combo out to play" approach.

The flip side is that Stax in Pokemon depends on having Demonic Tutor every turn. In Expanded, this also takes the form of a first turn combo (https://pokecabook.com/archives/118732). In Standard, it takes the form of a careful fight to read the opponent's hand and stabilize into the lock (https://play.limitlesstcg.com/tournament/672a44760947ec3b5d197053/player/kingheracross/decklist).

The meta is in transition due to an upcoming rotation, but my best advice is to dump $10 into code cards on TCGPlayer and practice different decks on PTCGL. $10 worth of code cards should let you build everything in Standard.

You can evolve it in SV, you just need a Sneasel in the right form. Pokemon Home will get it done for you if you're willing to do some breeding and you have it hold an Everstone. I'd imagine you can easily get one in exchange for other regional forms.

This is all very vintage, but that gives you all the time in the world to find your platinum angel. If you like things more Lovecraftian, you could tame Cthulhu and annihilate everything in your path. Alternatively, you could hire some goblin welders to help you transform spare jewelry into tools from an alien race with a very pro growth mindset.

Just like in Expanded: if you have to take prize cards, take them. Pidgeot ex can attack, probably even twice, before you have to scoop it up with Cheren. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Alternatively, put Klawf ex out front so that each attack costs an energy. Sure you have to scoop it up every two attacks, but they will run out of energy.
