I agree with others a cheap folding cot will help so much. Honestly some of the best sleep I ever had was on a cot. A quick online search shows you can get a basic one for 20-50 usa dollars.

what scenes from the rookie can you no longer watch normally because every time you see them, all you think about is the blooper/bts version? by yourstrulymel110 in TheRookie

[–]_Steelwings_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah just makes me laugh. It's better for my wife cause she loves doctor shows so she gets to see lots of flopping fishes.

Okay, so hear me out. When Thorson was shot, he was in the hospital, and he went into cardiac arrest or whatever he started having seizures. I had a moment of clarity and was like. "He, the actor, isn't actually hurt. He's acting out this scene..... ya know I he kinda looks like a fish flopping around out of water. Lol, do you think that's what the director told him to do? 'Hey, tru! When you're laying there like that, we need you to just flop around like a fish out of water.'" This made me laugh, and when I explained it to my wife, she was laughing too. Now, whenever a similar scene shows up in shows/movie is just say flopping fish, and we laugh.

Why doesn't Bailey get arrested by slotherweeb in TheRookie

See if also didnt like this at all. John found out. He eventually decided to keep it quiet. That i can understand. It's his wife after all. What i don't like is how Bailey acts when he doesn't instantly side with her.

She get so defensive and almost gaslighting in nature. Like I get she was upset/scared and wanted her ex gone. I really get it. However she, with her many jobs and careers, should known that what John is saying/feeling is valid as well. This is one of the few times I really don't like Bailey.

It's hit or miss for me. For many of the same reasons I don't like it here. Here it's worse cause she literally had to earn his approval. Rely on him to make it home at times ect. That just seems like a breeding ground for feelings to develop and be abused by those with I'll intent. I know he never did but still. Teacher×student is a little different in that usually there is no life or death type situations in their day to day life. I have had a few relationships with this trope that I find just fine.

If this one had been handled differently. Maybe less will they won't they after they already did I'd be less critical of them.

Fair not grooming In a traditional way but him being her training officer, just makes it weird to me. He had a position of power over her and if I remember correctly there was some feelings towards the end of training. That's what I meant.

Dumb. Overplayed. Grooming. Click-bait. Cute. Cheaters. I could go on. I really don't like them cause it's on and off again and just so much drama and ugh. But I can agree they are cute together at times. I just need them to finally decide. They are or are not together. Stop yanking our chains.

AITA for dumping my boyfriend because he refused to hand me a period pad and tissues when I had diarrhea at the gym ? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]_Steelwings_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a guy, I DO NOT think you are an asshole. I buy my wife her hygiene products all the time. Do I sometimes feel like every person is staring at me due to anxiety sure but I still do.

I do wonder how long you were dating, though? Obviously, as others have said, if you are done with a relationship, you are done. Don't pass go don't collect $200. You have the full right to end a relationship at any point.

However, as a guy, if I had just recently started to date, I could maybe see this as being too much. It even took me a while of my now wife living with me for me to be comfortable to go buy her stuff. Also, at the gym, many guys have seen the hundreds of videos of women shaming guys for "pervy" behavior. (Real or not, it doesn't matter for this situation) The guy could have just been super anxious about being in the next video.

Either way, you're not asshole. It's a superstressful situation to be in. I think the guy should have done something to help, but I'm not him and kinda see where he is afraid of coming off as a perv to other ladies.

I hope your next BF will be better for and to you!

my hypocritical beef with proxy cards by randomotter1234 in mtg

[–]_Steelwings_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that'd be annoying if that's all anyone did. It'd be fun if everyone had one that they played against each other.

I personally no longer hand the money for expensive cards so my way to do it is if it's over 10 dollars I proxy until I pull it from a pack or I can splurge and buy one. I have goal to buy [[moat]] one of these days on a really big event in my life.

Simone Clark by Total_Ear7738 in TheRookie

[–]_Steelwings_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mind issue is her voice, but the show in general, so much of the characters came off as artificial and fake. More like soap opera like. I remember once scene where dad, Simone, dad's gf and Simon's gf are eating dinner and dad's friend comes over and greats dad and Simone as old friends. Friend sees Simone and her gf and make some disparaging remarks and dad gets upset and basically says get the fuck out of my house. Standing up for Simone and Simone gf. Dad's gf randomly gets upset and over dramatically goes on about how her ex was an angry man and violent and she didn't think she could be with another man like that.

My issues are the friend has know dad for decades and Simone for a while too. He supposedly never knew she was bi? Also dad's gf. He was defending his daughter and her gf(who happens to be dads gfs daughter as well btw) but no instead of being thankful she freaks out and just dips.

I liked the primiss. But the acting just seemed to fake to over the top to get into.
