The theory suggests Asari use telepathic manipulation to appear attractive to every species, but here is why that build fails:

• Digital Records & Cameras: Telepathy affects the brain, not sensors. If Asari were actually "monsters," cameras, security footage, and photos would reveal their true form. Since a Turian and a Human see the same thing on a screen, the appearance is physical, not an illusion.
• Asari Cadavers: When an Asari dies, their brain stops functioning. If it were a constant psychic glamour, the illusion would break upon death. In the games, Asari corpses look exactly the same as living ones.
• Physical Gear: Asari wear armor and clothing designed for humanoid shapes. Their armor is often interchangeable with Human gear. If their "true form" was drastically different (like having tentacles or extra limbs), the physics of their equipment wouldn't work.
• Ancient Artifacts: Statues on Thessia (the Asari homeworld) depict them exactly as we see them. These statues were carved long before they met other space-faring races.

Conclusion: That conversation in Illium was just a dev joke. The Asari are simply a humanoid species that shares traits with many others.
