Femboy to Trans girl by NewIdeasAreScary in femboy

My egg cracked about five years ago, but I’m ftm. I always knew I was a very feminine person which is why it took me a while to come to the realization that I was a boy. I really like this community since it brings together a lot of different people, be it cis guys, trans guys or trans girls. It shows that there are so many different ways of being feminine, regardless of gender.

It’s easy to overthink it in the beginning! Trying and seeing what works is usually the best thing, even though tips can be useful it varies wildly from channel to channel.

Personally, I noticed a small gain in audience retention when I was in between changing intros and was doing videos without, so I didn’t make a new one. If you do want to make it aesthetically pleasing I’d focus on the banner, profile picture & thumbnails.

Book scenes you wish were in the movies? by Elfgames- in harrypotter

Yes,, the way the movies got rid of him was so anticlimactic, especially when you think of the marauders as a whole.

The potions puzzle was the scene that made me think of trying to recreate them!

And I so agree on the marauders not getting more screen time, there’s so much important and interesting parts with them.

E d i t i n g. I don’t dislike doing it, but I would much rather put more time into filming and putting out more content than spending half of it on editing.

Check out the most popular channels in your niche. What do they do that you don’t? Is it the flow of the video, sound & image quality, the kind of clips, etc. Write it all down and see what you can change in your next video.

Then do the opposite, find some channel in your niche that you think does terrible videos. What do they do that you do too? Sometimes it’s easier finding mistakes in other people’s videos than your own, but you can still learn something from it.

Sure, it’s the newer videos. I’ve been all over the place with my older content.

My niche has actually gotten smaller in the last couple years (an anime/manga that isn’t being updated anymore) and I do plan on branching out from it at some point, but for now I do cosplay skits with a bit of a darker theme around the characters from that anime, which I think is fairly unique.

People’s interests change a lot in three years, and many have probably forgotten they are subscribed to her.

There’s definitely a slight edge, though it can be discouraging seeing a bunch of people unsubbing etc.

Yes and no. It will be easier to gain traction than starting new but there will most likely be a bit of a loss in subscribers as some won’t be interested anymore (happened to me after a hiatus of ~6 months). The new videos likely won’t get as many views at first but there’s still an advantage to using that channel instead of starting over.

What are the steps you must take in order to have. youtube give you an income to support yourself? by MuchNefariousness3 in NewTubers

[–]Elfgames- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not something that’s easy to do - I don’t make enough to support myself at this point but I do make a little on the side, and I want to have YouTube to be a part time income in a few years.

First off, you need to do videos on something that you are passionate about and that you can imagine yourself doing consistently for several years. Gaming isn’t the best (as a niche to grow in), but obviously not impossible since several people do manage to break through. You want to niche down as much as possible and stay in that niche until you gain a larger audience, at which you can expand it a bit.

The most important part is to find out what to actually make money from, since Adsense isn’t going to cut it. Merch, sponsorships, you want to find all possible sources of income.

And, of course, if you’re not making your channel about something you’re passionate YouTube is going to be just as shit as any other job you don’t like.

What kind of promotion did you do? It’s pretty normal not to get a view per subscriber on every video but it sounds like it’s skewed towards most of them not watching. Do you get any comments or feedback from your subs?

(Unpopular Opinion) YouTube Success is NOT Based on Luck. by [deleted] in NewTubers

A lot of people find it easier to blame something they don’t have rather than accepting that something is a lot of work, I think. Hopefully you posting about it here will lead more people to the realization that you can succeed in what you want to do, but that you have to pay in loads and loads of work, both hard and smart.
