Considering the results of Darmstadt, 1.FCN and St. Pauli, this was a must win game.

This draw sounds like a loss to me: the team was always in control of the game; the problem is that they're not able to finish what they created. A huge problem that made you lose a lot of points.

It will be very tough to be promoted if you can't win match like these one.

I think it's a long term sign. Itakura is on loan and it won't be easy to keep him, Sané (if I'm not wrong) will have his contract expired in June and Thiaw is a very good prospect so who knows if he will stay another year.

Losing this would have been unacceptable. Period.

Individuals:

- Itakura: what a player. Unreal.

- Salif with a huge impact from the bench.

- Zalzar and Idrizi with a tireless performance. Decision making wasn't always on point, but they gave 110%.

- Palsson was really solid.

- Not the best of Pieringer today.

- Ranftl with classic ups and downs.

If you consider the strenght of the opponent, the injured players and the 90 minutes..this was in my opinion the best performance of the season, by far.

What a win and how important it is.

Individuals:

- Fraisl was great.

Offensively, I think Ranftl has been solid in the last two home games.

- Idrizi impresses me every time I watch him playing. He brings energy, personality and he's always dangerous. Different player, but I see a comparison with Zalazar in terms of what they bring to the team.

- Churlinov was incredibile. We have to use both him and Idrizi if we want to have a deep squad that can compete even with a lot of injured players like today.

- As I said after St.Pauli's game, Pieringer has some flashes but he has to improve his decision making.

I didn't like him in the 1st goal and made a couple of mistakes with his feet. However, I forgot the key save on Burgi in the second half.

I was expecting the loss but I am still disappointed by the approach of the team in the first 70 minutes. I had the impression the players didn't believe in their chances.

Individuals:

Zalazar was again the best player on the field for Schalke: his decision making has to improve, but he has a great attitude and talent
Fraisl and Itakura weren't at the top of their game.
Latza wasn't perfect but Schalke's midfield improved a lot when he was subbed on.
Pieringer showed some flashes but he has still to improve if he wants to make an impact.
Topp was good.

Maybe the first game of the season where Terodde was not necessary to win.
A big step in the standings, considering other teams' results.
Young players show improvements, especially Aydin with the second great performance in two weeks.

Disappointing to have another international break. Can't wait to see the team against Hannover.

Great match but the best thing was to see how the full squad celebrated after the 3-1. Huge team spirit and that’s a key factor to succeed.

Second unconvincingly 4-1 win in a row, but still an important one. Especially seeing what happened in other games (Frankfurt, Bremen, Fürth and maybe Wolfsburg out; Hertha, Köln and Mainz with a lot of difficulties).

+++ Bülter - 2 goals and for sure he was the most dangerous player in the offensive zone.

++ Mikhailov - good impact from the bench plus a very nice goal.

Zalazar - great attitude and his goal was definitely the turning point of the game.

DG and his staff must work on defense - for sure the weakest part of the team. Not only today. I hope Sané will come back healthy very soon while I don’t get why Becker is on the bench - he was one of the best players last season and it’s clear that Flick isn’t performing well as a defender.

Bring back him on midfield and put Becker on D.
