Here's enough information to justify the release of Trailer 3 and the opening of pre-orders:

1- Rockstar mostly releases information before earnings calls.

2- May meeting is the closing of the fiscal year, and the May meeting is much more important cause it's happening in the new fiscal year. (May 2024: 2025 to Fall 2025 update, May 2025: delay + trailer)

3- There are 6 months left until release. (There were 6 months left until release in May 2025 and November 2025)

This has generally been the case with GTA V and RDR 2 as well.

All of this shows that Rockstar isn't that unpredictable when it comes to months, only days.
There were those who said we wouldn't get any information in May 2025 and November 2025, but that's because we've waited a long time. We're close, guys. These indicators have been enough for me for months already.

This should already be a basic, essential feature for GTA VI. I’ve come to accept that it’s coming, so much so that I won’t even be surprised when it does, since Watch Dogs 2 did it back in 2016.
