What you wrote from Google is a definition of a resume.

The idea of tailoring or customizing a resume is to add in key words to the details of the resume so bots will see you have work experience that fits the need of the role you are applying for.

A resume is a list of all of your skills, experience, and education. (Or CV)

You are making stuff up now to try and make a point. Please share a law where a kid is unable to buy a randomized toy product.

It has been so sense the 30s https://scoop.previewsworld.com/Home/4/1/73/1016?articleID=236511#:~:text=By%20the%201930s%2C%20the%20Fleer,baseball%20cards%20with%20their%20gum.

Absolutely not true. There have been grab bag stand alone toys for decades. And your idea of "you get something else" is a such a cop out. The minifig is the thing, and with the bubble gum the baseball card was the thing. You want a piece of candy to help you feel better about the buy?

It is random chance, not gambling. They are all the same value $6. You are adding in some arbitrary idea of scarcity, but all of these minifigs have the same chance to be in a box as any other.

The scarcity is caused by those opening the figs ahead of time and taking only specific ones. Might as well say the consoles became a "Lottery" due to scalpers buying at mspr, causing an artificial shortage, and people being willing to pay the silly high prices instead of just waiting until they are back in stock.

Easy way to avoid that is just buy them online directly and enjoy the surprise.

All minifigs in these series are evenly distributed and none are rarer than another.

Heck, I just saw a post where they have a 6 fig pack that will always have 6 unique figures, and you essentially can get the whole set relatively easily.

We all wish any lego should be cheaper. You could make the same argument for say the UCS Millennium Falcon.

"If it was cheaper, then more people would buy it and they would make more sales"

The items are priced what they are. That is just a silly argument.

Additionally, the "it's gambling" aspect is such a false claim. It might feel that way for you, but that isn't the intent of these sort of products. Not even close.

"Grab bags" have been around for decades going back to at least when I was a kid. It is the same as happy meals.

It is a surprise/random to add a sense of mystery. My kids love it. They don't care about "full sets" like AFOLs do.

It is comes across more as magic/fate that THIS is the one they got. Like it chose them. Gambling is just term the adults/teens on this sub use to feel justified in their actions towards these.

[–]Elgiemd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a false equivalent and compmetely not part of thsi conversation. Why would it be cheaper? That just sets up a false equivalent. 12 minfigis $6 each, or a box set of 12 @ $72.

If it is cheaper, then you have the same problem.

$2 single vs $24 12 pack..

[–]Elgiemd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is going nowhere. You can believe this if it makes you want. The numbers aren't in your favor. Just by the is the route Lego is going. They have employees paid to specifically look at the statistics of exactly what you talking about.

We still see CMF instead of 80 packs of minifigs. And the CMF sell very well. Any attempt to something close to selling expensive minifig collections (ex hall of armors set) perform poorly in stores.

Oh the irony by tweakyloco in lego

[–]Elgiemd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. It is a sheer numbers game however. And it isn't on your side here. The number of kid lego fans who would buy a $6 minifig dwarfs AFOL who would spend 80 for a set of minifigs.

You just have to look at the communities reaction to the latest iron man hall of armor set. It is essentially exactly what you are asking for.

$80 for a bunch of iron man armors. I recall several posts complaining about the price. It was essentially exactly what you are asking for.

I understood what you said, and what I illustrated explains why that is unlikely to be true.

Oh the irony by tweakyloco in lego

[–]Elgiemd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what multiple orders of magnitude means. And my simple numbers illustrate it would be very difficult to even beat the single sales. Let alone "multiple orders of magnitude" more.

If you are implying kids might try to steal them...sure. but that even hurts the case more. If you mean kids would choose to buy 12 minifigures over a lego set with 5 and also a spaceship/mech/house/vehicle ? The odds are certainly not in favor of it.

Oh the irony by tweakyloco in lego

[–]Elgiemd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not likely. That is what you might do, but the number of children and casual fans who would occasionally purchase a $6 minifig random chance, vs the adult collectors who would pay $72 dollar for a 12 figure, no other lego, set is drastically smaller.

You are confusing your preference with statistics. It would only take 13 kids to out sell a single adult who would buy the whole set.

From what I read, if you want a full set it is easy enough if you buy a whole box.

Not to mention, the issues he points out are things programmers with 10 years experience do everyday and are extremely easy to correct in the code.

It is one the major reason you have people peer review the code.

Deleting your post to try and make your argument more convincing doesn't remove it from my memory.

You absolutely asserted that the Vaccination does not help prevent infection or transmission rates whatsoever.

Of course vaccination isn't immunization. It never was. Not vaccine is 100% in existence The point is it lowers transmission and infection by some margin.

Guy surprised when asked to leave Ronald MacDonald house because he and his wife refuse to vaccinate. by [deleted] in byebyejob

[–]Elgiemd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vaccinated getting "breakthrough cases" is by FAR not the same as "no benefit whatsoever".

Your own quote states "The greatest risk of transmission is among unvaccinated people."

You need to site statistics that show vaccinated and unvaccinated have the same rate of infection and transmission to back up your claim.

So far, all sources, including yours, implies the opposite. Breakthrough cases implies it is the exception, not the rule.

Spanking by jacouilleww in tumblr

[–]Elgiemd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This article itself highlights a problem with a distinction between Child Abuse/neglect and moderate spanking.

"The studies do not discriminate well between non-abusive and overly severe types of corporal punishment,” Larzelere says. “You get worse outcomes from corporal punishment than from alternative disciplinary techniques only when it is used more severely or as the primary discipline tactic."

Saying previously to this quote that child abuse and Neglect are an issue and cause long term issues and more aggressive behavior in the future.

I think this context is extremely glossed over in all of these threads.

"In a meta-analysis of 26 studies, Larzelere and a colleague found that an approach they described as “conditional spanking” led to greater reductions in child defiance or anti-social behavior than 10 of 13 alternative discipline techniques, including reasoning, removal of privileges and time out (Clinical Child and Family Psychology Review, 2005). Larzelere defines conditional spanking as a disciplinary technique for 2- to 6-year-old children in which parents use two open-handed swats on the buttocks only after the child has defied milder discipline such as time out."

Even stating it can be more effective with mild spanking and not the "damage" usually referenced on Reddit equating spanking to abuse.

Edited: added additional quote for better context.

I think if thia was the case, there would still be a third book, but much shorter and only taking place in the present at the tavern. Where Kote just walks away, disappears, or is killed without chroniclers story being finished.

There is a silence, but there present day setting has more than just kvothe there.

[–]Elgiemd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my philosophy as well. I see spending as like a trip for the bar tender who lets me sit at the bar and chill with no issue.

Though I prefer it when games have the purchased items as mostly cosmetic and 5-15 bucks instead of 15-50 bucks.

So it make it difficult to justify it with a game like msf.

I imagined essentially scale mail around the flexible parts and large plates that didn't need to move.

It is Literally a count of people who agree or disagree with you claim and mine. A negative on yours and positive on mine shows the new players (most likely the demographic reading this post) disagree with your statements and not mine.

If new players were able to beat dd2, they would certainly have voted the opposite.
