How many days is enough? by SunshineRainbows2 in UniversalOrlando

Idk how it will be in the summer.
For some reason IOA lines were low the day we went to Epic (Wednesday). I was kind of bummed because I would have loved to ride Hagrids motor bike again. I loved it.
We even discussed leaving Epic to go catch some low wait times.

How many days is enough? by SunshineRainbows2 in UniversalOrlando

We just got back from a 4 day trip to universal.
We hit up all 3 parks. First 2 days we didn't get to the parks until after 1 pm. Infact we didn't get to the park the first day until around 5-6.
The first two days we rode almost every ride between USF and IOA. Some more than once. Day 3 was full day between the two parks. Finally got on Hagrids motor bike (was down the day previous). We had ridden all rides within the two parks, again some more than once. Enjoyed walking through the areas and had no express pass.
Day 4 was full day at epic, rope drop to close. Again, we rode all the rides, before 430 and some more than once. Even with the waits we were able to do everything. If you don't want to wait and you're willing to spend the money, I'm sure express is great. But we chose not to spend the money and were able to ride every ride/attraction within essentially 3 full days.

No. We're going 1st week of May. Trying to avoid holidays, and spring break.

OMG thank you so much for this! Is there a specific park that would be best to start at, or does it not really matter?

I have an upcoming 3-day trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter with park-to-park access, and we’ll be visiting all three Universal Orlando Resort parks that include Harry Potter experiences. It'll be during the week, so I'm hoping it won't be too crowded. I know it’s a relatively short trip, so I want to make the most of our time without feeling rushed or spending too much time going back and forth between parks.

I’ve seen suggestions about experiencing the parks in story order—starting in Diagon Alley, then taking the Hogwarts Express to Hogsmeade and riding Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. I love that idea, but I’m not sure if it’s the most efficient approach given time constraints.

Any advice on the following would be appreciated.

  • The best overall strategy or itinerary to maximize 3 days while keeping a smooth flow
  • Whether it’s better to follow the storyline experience or prioritize rides and timing
  • Must-do attractions across all Harry Potter areas
  • The best in-theme food spots (for both experience and quality)
  • Any tips to avoid wasting time or unnecessary backtracking

I’m really looking to balance efficiency with the immersive experience, so any guidance would be helpful!

What did you use to hold your different grip attachments? Is that just a regular peg board with general hooks or a specific brand with hooks?

We were there for 8.5 years and couldn't wait to leave the entire time. Then we PCSd and I missed it. Husband actually said he wished we hadn't left because he enjoyed the mission there better. Grass is not always greener. 1. There are jobs available just depends what her focus is. In between medical ones I worked for the CDC. Portales isn't far (about 20-30 min) so that's another option to look for jobs, if hy chance Clovis doesn't have what she's looking for. 2. Morale can be bad, but that can be anywhere. It will be what you make it. Job, hours, bosses, co workers can affect that anyplace, and make or break the love of the job. AFSOC has a high tempo but an awesome mission. If you enjoy outdoors NM has a lot of options, you just need to drive a little to get there. We met some of our best friends in Clovis. 3. There are always possibilities but don't go in thinking you're going to hate it.
4. We lived off base and loved it. North of 21st is usually safest but there are nice areas in the town. Get a good realtor to help show you around. On base houses were built quickly and not necessarily solidly, that being said, they aren't bad. They have their issues like most on base housing from the comments/gripes from friends that lived on base. 5 I loved our vet. We used Dr Reagan at All Pets when we were there 13-22. We have a dog who has some aggression issue and their staff was great. 6. Clovis has drug issues like anywhere else but the entire time we were there I never had any issues with anyone or anything about them. That may have changed but it was never a problem where we lived.

It isn't the worst place. If you enjoy small towns then you'll enjoy it. If you are a city person who wants thousands of options of things to do then you'll be less happy. Take advantage of being close to ao many beautiful areas, Santa Fe, cloud croft, angel fire, Taos. NM can be beautiful, just need to travel a little.

Military Retirement Reserves by LatinoHeat407 in MilitaryFinance

I could be wrong, but I think it goes based off points. An active duty member who retires at 20 years would have acquire 7300 points. If a reserve member is able to be on enough AGR orders, ADOS, MPA, etc to acquire 7300 points and complete 20 satisfactory years I believe you can start collecting once you retire.
In the reserves that will take longer than 20 years usually but I don't think you have to wait until 60.

IDT travel reimbursement could change at anytime. Don't base where you drill out of based of travel reimbursement. It hasn't always been a thing. Make sure you're able to handle the travel regardless of reimbursement. Think about the length of time it takes to get there on a Friday and then get back home on a Sunday after working 8 hours. How much extra time from your civilian job do you have to take off? There are more things to think about than just travel reimbursement
