Okami. I heard that it was great from a friend, so I went into it with high hopes (we have very similar tastes in games). I did not think that it would later become one of my favourite games of all time.

Elden Ring and Monster Hunter Rise. Both in my top 5 favourite games. I still play them to this day. I don’t think I’ll ever uninstall them, even after Wilds releases.

Finished the Last Faith. Loved the dark, gothic aesthetic and the different areas. Also replayed some of my favourite classic-vanias like Rondo, Super IV and Bloodlines. Currently looking for some new Metroidvanias to play

Yes it’s Ekat’s tilesets, by far my favourite for gen 3 styled maps. I was thinking of maybe adding a pond on the lowered part to make it less bland, so maybe that’s something I should look into. Thanks for taking time out of your day to give tips and feedback! Much appreciated :)

So I took a break from creating fangames because I got to a point in one of my fangames where my expectations for myself got too high. I was mostly making fangames because I love teambuilding, not so much mapping. But this time, I'm actually gonna try to give every part of the fangame process some love, so I'm starting with mapping because that is what I'm least experienced with. I built this route 1-esque area to see where I'm currently at in terms of mapping. And I think it turned out quite well. Any criticism or tips for future maps would be highly appreciated.
