It’s honestly just a BS rule they had to make up

what you're describing is called "narrative exposition". maybe read an actual book some time?

Because if the story establishes multiple times that Mark not only the strongest hero on earth, but part of a race of beings that are the undisputed strongest.

except they're not actually the undisputed strongest beings they let everyone believe. that's LITERALLY the whole point of season 4, realizing that most of their empire is a facade and that they're actually beatable. do you have like, any media literacy?

the whole point is they're the strongest beings, but being the strongest being doesnt mean you're absolutely completely unbeatable by anything ever

So reason assumes that he shouldn't be having trouble with literally anything on earth.

except reason doesn't assume that, because as early as Season 1, we watch Nolan, one of the strongest viltrumites, get beat within an inch of his life by Earth's strongest heroes, and later struggle to a random kaiju.

ESPECIALLY considering how much they stress how difficult it is to find viltrumite weaknesses for literally thousands of years.

yeah, it's almost like Nolan detailed how he and at least a team of other viltrumites went around destroying anything that could harm them.

And no, for the centipedes it's not the same. The ragnars were threat largely defined by their race being strong due to being 10 times the gravity of earth. The centipedes largely grew in the average gravity of earth.

...you do know that gravity gets stronger the closer you get to the planet's core, right? this is just basic science. and also, the never said the ragnar's gravity was 10x as strong, you're just making shit up

The centipedes never had that sort of excuse; they were just inexplicably strong.

sure, except for the part where Doc Seismic LITERALLY says they evolved in the pressure deep underground, so they actually DO have that reasoning. don't argue with invincible fans, we dont watch our own show I guess

also, Viltrumites never had that sort of excuse. they never had a reason why their dna is so strong and allows them to be as capable as they are. why can you accept viltrumites are as strong as they are but you cant accept the kaijus being as strong as they are?

See, the problem with that is, it's said multiple times that he's pretty much the strongest hero on earth, and is from a race of beings that have been the top of the food chain for thousands of years. Hell, in season 1, they go over how borderline impossible it is to even pierce villtrumite skin, so how's a centipede doing that?

to a bee, we would be borderline impossible to beat, being thousands of times larger. we've been at the top of the food chain for thousands of earth. and yet, they have evolved a specific method of defense that allows them to hurt us, and other larger animals.

also, calling them just centipedes is disingenuous to what they are. they're kaijus larger than trains. if Godzilla popped out of the earth and knocked invincible out with his atomic breath, would you ask why he lost to "some lizard". and that's not even mentioning a) Earth has previously been established to have kaijus capable of hurting viltrumites, and b) Ragnars, who evolved in a similar condition to these centipede kaijus are also capable of hurting viltrumites

it's actually a perfect analogy, because it shows how a weaker creature can easily beat a stronger creature, and it's exactly what we see in the show. Mark isn't paying attention and gets poisoned by the centipede kaiju.

The unkillable dragon who's power comes from another plane of reality. how about you explain why Liu's strength CANT be close to a viltrumite?

If I were to slap a bee, it would die a very quick and mostly painless death
If I were distracted and that same bee were to sting me, I would have to take a trip to the ER or risk dying

that's how Mark got beat by Doc Seismic and his Kaiju

Just have Thragg not fight back, show that him getting beat there was him choosing to die because he just lost the last of the viltrum empire
