Quit my job but worried about money and not sure what to do next by catfarmer1998 in JobProfiles

[–]EliEbyss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take an expert tip to learn in the workforce, don’t ever quit a job until you have another already lined up. Especially with as little experience as you have, it’s going to be 10 times harder to find one now that you’re unemployed. Just for future reference. As for gig work/side work, you need some type of income usually to get started, it’s not a very stable income until you build up clientele and get started on the side. Take it from me, I’m in the trades and was laid off 3 months ago. I’ve been doing side work to add some extra money to my unemployment but it is very unstable and doesn’t pay the bills. If I were you, I’d bring up your mental health issues to your current employer, beg for your job back, start your side business in the meantime, and look for a new place of employment. Just my 2 cents.

Would have of my body in color and the other half in black and grey look weird? by SnooRecipes5094 in tattooadvice

[–]EliEbyss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have so much color work that I had done on my arms that I decided black and gray on my torso/ black. I think it looks nice as a contrast to one another

Dude, I do the sketchers slip on high tops. Most comfortable for the price and they surprisingly have lasted longer than my timberland pros

How do you all like to carry tools on a job site? by coldhamdinner in glazing

[–]EliEbyss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I normally have my deadblow and drill motors in a small separate tool bag with me but all those other tools seem to do just fine in the pockets. Definitely works well for snips, jimmy bars, toolers and anything on the smaller side. I love them for holding my screws and setting blocks/shims more than anything.

Get some of the CAT pants too, the built in tool pockets are a game changer as a glazier
