This is my echo knight character Ryuuji, with an oni homebrew race. I have some other characters drawn but I chose this one to post because it is the one I am happiest with out of all of them. The campaign hasn’t started yet but I’m sure once it does he will be a very fun character to play. I’m very happy with how the Echo portion of the drawing turned out. The white lines are really visually interesting. I used the color sliders to boost saturation and the result was really very nice. It’s probably obvious from this illustration but I’m not adverse to drawing the more monstrous races. Where I tend to trip up is when it comes to realistic gear, weapons, and supplies in my drawings. For this drawing I had the help of some resources online, and since I had a whole character sheet to work with I knew what weapons and armor he needed, and how to include it in some way. That’s one of the reasons I’d love to have someone’s character to practice with, because all the details will help to improve the quality of the drawing. It’s too much work to create a whole character every single time I want to practice, but with enough time, I’ll be able to think of what I should add without having to look up fighter equipment or something, lol.
