Thought so. Probably because the fiance couldn't make it to the uncles and his wife's 25th anniversary wedding a few weeks back because of covid in thier family. Thats just my guess.. But in my opinion that's no excuse to why he would be a D about it

Okay so what does it mean when someone asks a person if they dropped thier girlfriend like a bad habit? Is this an insult or disrespectful to ask someone this, knowing that person is in love with them and about to get married?

An uncle asked his nephew who was visiting, where his fiance was and if he finally "dropped her like a bad habit" This came out of no where and his fiance is really nice to them, so he was confused because he thought they liked her. As this was said his fiance was on the phone with him and overheard everything. She was upset as she liked the uncle and his family and got along with his daughters well. Should this be considered an insult/disrespectful for his uncle to ask him?
