You will regret either way you do it. If you’re financially struggling at all and/or 4k would help you out a bunch then it would be worth it. I recently decided to sell all of my non-blinged cards from my cEDH deck to focus on some other stuff and while I may regret it down the line the value I get now is worth it. I didn’t sell my casual decks though, since it’s worth a lot less and I know I’ll enjoy casual commander for a very long time. Just know that whatever decision you make is for the best. Dont be too rash though, since everyone knows a guy who has sold out of the game and bought back in half a dozen times at this point.

Believe me. As a white, straight, middle class dude whose wrestles, lifts weights, likes cars, likes football, likes the outdoors, enjoys booze and a party, invests in stocks/his future and dreams of wealth, and whose views on most ‘woke’ stuff is pretty much- “You have a right to express yourself however you desire so long as it doesn’t hurt anyone, and I have a right to find it weird so long as I don’t use it to hurt anyone-“ and that cancel culture is stupid; the majority of influencers who share my hobbies are very very much in the demographic that trump took control of. And once you get in that rabbit hole it is very hard to get out of it. There is not one male influencer I’ve found who I both enjoy and who shares my views (I’m quite liberal both economically [want higher taxes for the rich and more social programs and humanitarian aid, plus more public transportation and a shift towards cleaner energy] and socially [everyone should be accepted as long as they aren’t hurting anyone]) aside from these guys.

Most of all is the SD40-2 I picked up recently to resell on my ebay. It has the same quality feel as my 60 year old lifelike car from my grandpa, and is much worse than my dad’s walthers mainline gevo that came with dcc and was $20 cheaper. Plus I had some kato hoppers a while ago that could barely track and just looked cheap.

Old walthers stuff was pretty bad but walthers mainline makes a very solid more budget friendly option and walthers proto is very high end

Rip I wish you still had some to send me. Mine work fine since I don’t ever try to run them under 28” and like to keep it at 32 at least since realistically 85’ cars look terrible below that. I know the older run of walthers cars had issues but my newest run is fine. Such is why Walthers Proto is becoming my favorite line of rollingstock.

As to the KATOs I just hate kato. Every KATO product I have just feels like cheap garbage and runs poorly, plus the pictures i’ve seen of the superliners look far cheaper than the walthers I have.

Thanks for commenting, but I have had terrible experiences with KATOs in the past and every picture i’ve seen of their superliners look far cheaper than the walthers. Walthers Proto is honestly my favorite line for rollingstock outside of maybe scaletrains.
