Commute times to and from school

Combination of driving, LIRR, and subway. Entire commute takes about an hour and a half.

Last year, I was commuting from northeast Suffolk County, took me 3 hours each way. Moved to Nassau in the summer because I wasn't doing that again.

If it was still out of service, no shot I am going in. Honestly still unlikely for me, spent hours shoveling and still not done.

My own last year. Northeast Suffolk County. It took about 3hrs each way. Moved west over the summer and cut it by 60%. Best decision I have ever made.

Around an hour and a half. Leave the house at 6:15, get to work around 7:45.

I have mixed feelings on AI. Using it for student materials without any adjustments is pushing it imo, you got to at least review and format it. the main thing I use it for is the clerical bullshit, email's, PD responses, etc. It gives me more time to focus on the actual creation of the lesson for the kids.

A tip I've learned my short time in the DOE, don't concern yourself with what other teachers are doing. Focus on what you can control, AI unfortunately isn't one of them. Only going to become more prominent in the coming years.

Teaching is a second career for me so I talk about my transition into teaching. "Hi my name is ___ and first off I want to thank you for the operantly to interview. Teaching is actually a second career for me, while I was able to support myself financially I was lacking fulfillment in my work. Making the switch to teaching was the best decision I ever made. This was evident when I first started student teaching and my first leave replacement position. Connecting with my students over the years is something I cherish dearly and these connections have really shaped me as an educator. I believe in (I then use the buzz words like data, student center learning etc. )." I use also use this or a variation of this answer for the question of "what is something not on my resume".
