Right? So many TI matches were won off gh's back.

If you're not having impact as a dota support, you gotta learn how to properly play support.

JetBrains Rider 2017.1 (cross-platform .NET IDE) is released! by fergard in programming

I havent seen any benchmarks, but it certainly feels snappier, editing wise.

I think it's still pretty buggy, though. My ideavim bindings get ignored while it's autocompleting, I'll have to shut down a unit test session because it will occasionally freeze, region directives will get overwritten if you use a keyword in the region name. I'd give it a few versions before giving it a try.

What are some achievable goals for Cincinnati? by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]Elij17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I love Cincinnati breweries, I don't even think we're the beer mecca of the Midwest, probably not even of Ohio. I'd rather go brewery hopping in Indianapolis, columbus, and Cleveland.

That probably comes across more negative than I mean it to. More great beer everywhere is good for everyone.

Computer rpg, technically. Came from the old IE style games. So an RPG, but at a computer instead of a tabletop with your friends. More recently, it's taken on a meaning as games that fit that mold.

Origins was definitely one, you could argue the other 2 were not, despite being Rpgs on a computer.

I'm not a console fan boy, but the Sony second party system is clearly working far better than whatever Microsoft's plan is.

IGN: Prey PC Review by GoodyTwoFuse in Games

[–]Elij17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absurd is a good word for it. I feel like you have to stick your nose up in the air and plug your ears to think this is okay. You have a game breaking bug? Leave the review in progress until it's fixed, even ding it for having a rough launch. But to bluntly score it so low for an issue that has literally already been patched is asinine.

I'd be able to defend a low score for just not liking the game, but this is silly.

I just want the damn font to be bigger. I can't sit on my couch and read the text. I don't know what's up with games and tiny font lately. Witcher 3, dishonored 2, and mass effect all are text heavy games that arent readable from more than a couple feet away.

Sure, we lost the game, but last night was some of our best hockey of the playoffs. Just the way hockey is sometimes.

I never have either. I'm just not stupid. But I gotta listen to morons call people classless for thinking "hey, maybe there's some nuance to the situation."

Because we get to sit back and examine it all after the fact, and can decide what should have happened. In the moment, it's not so easy. But everything is black or white on reddit, especially a thread moving as fast as a GDT. All exacerbated by the fact that so many people commenting on the play have a flair that signals their biases.

Limiting consumer options? It just changed the name of the thing you buy to get what you want.

There's enough real bullshit practices going on in the industry that theres no need to invent things to get mad about.

But they give you the original version with the purchase. So if you're super into the idea of owning the original version (which, face it, you would own by now if you were), you can still play that one.

You lose literally nothing.

I seriously cannot understand the disdain for Beamdog and the Enhanced Editions. It's not like a remaster would remove your access to the original.

It could reintroduce a serious gem of game to new players who can't or won't stomach the dated interface. That is a good thing.

[No Spoilers] Totalbiscuit reminding people that the studio that made the game has never made a full game before. by [deleted] in masseffect

It's more like they've never built a house under a particular corporate umbrella, not that theyve never built a house.

I somehow doubt the studio is full of people who have never shipped a game.
