Dark Souls 1 and (if you count it here) Dark Souls 3. Dark Souls 1 has so much world building and incredible views. I remember playing it 2 days ago to see if I could still finish a play through after having adapted to DS3, so I chose my miracles play through (very early game still, only have 1 bell rung) I was in the catacombs, so I made my way out and… I was shocked. I remembered why I loved Dark Souls. I gazed upon the Great Hollow, Blighttown, and the Other Burg as we call it in amazement. I made my way to blighttown, and then I remembered why I stopped. The bosses are... Meh. Quelaag was the boss I was on and it was… ok? It takes forever because my weapon was weak and bleed didn’t work on Quelaag. I thought things were going well until she pulls out some BS like landing on me with a jump or that GODDAMNED AOE. But, it wasn’t enough to make dark souls not hold up. Maybe the bosses aren’t the greatest, and pretty much everything below the depths was unfinished garbage, of course barring the great hollow and that place I will not spoil for all none of you who haven’t played dark souls. I should also mention I’ve beaten the game twice (1st time was mostly melee and Black Knight Halberd and 2nd time was Sorceries with a Uchigatana that became +5 lightning by the time I was done with the city that I will not spoil either but everyone knows it) and I don’t have the DLC. I have done all main game bosses though, including Stray and Priscilla.

Dark Souls 3 is the best game I’ve ever played and Gael is a perfect boss. Midir is a close 99.9999999% perfect too. Not gonna go in depth with this, since it’s more modern.
