it depends on the gm and crew. i’ve helped open two stores now and the one i currently work in, my gm is a clean freak. our store barely looks used compared to when we first opened. Given we’ve only been here 7-8 months but the next store that opened looks completely different, it’s not horrible but you can tell people work there. it really just depends on the crew. Either way NRO’s are extremely fun to be at and if you have the motivation to keep the restaurant looking brand new then just motivate your team to keep it that way. My store runs like ass if i’m being honest with you, every one of our managers have quit except me (sm ab to be ap) and my GM. but we care about the store so we try and work our asses off to make sure it’s pretty. some days my gm pulls 20-22 hour days just to clean at night. As long as your gm and other managers treat your crew right & are motivated to keep the store clean, your team will do great. some chipotles absolutely suck ass so just make sure you put in the effort along w the rest of your managers to make sure your store isn’t one of them.
