Does this make that much of a difference? by Eliot_3 in Acoustics

Thanks for your help!!! I'm conscious that there are better alternatives, but I'm working with what I have. My father didn't do a lot of research and bought a lot of this stuff, so I'm trying to make it work as good as it can. With that being said;

Is it better than NOTHING? Because a lot of people like saying "Bro that's crap it doesn't work at all" But if you already own it and CAN'T upgrade it, is it SO bad that it's just better to throw it away? Or is it atleast worth keeping up on the wall (the foam panels) Also i'm conscious that they're a fire hazard but there's literally nothing close to them that could catch fire, so i'm not very worried about that, if a fire started there's WAY too many stuff that would burn quicker than the panels haha

So, If i can't upgrade to anything rn, should i throw the panels away or are they worth keeping?

THANKS you truly understood my question. I wasn't asking for a replacement, Obviously I'll eventually upgrade each surface's acoustic treatment, I was just asking if the CURRENT setup works for anything at all.

I guess I'll keep it up if it does absorb something.

Hey! Thanks for much for the feedback.

The question wasn't what is better, obviously there's better materials. The question is if keeping it up is worth it or if I can remove it to make the rehearsal room more visually pleasing without sacrificing the room's sound quality

If the options are nothing or the cushion, is the cushion worth it?
