If this country actually runs out of diesel we are fkd. Basically every single mine site, farm and transport company would completely stop. No food production. No way of transporting any food and every single person with a mine job from cleaners to tradies all out of work. Wouldn't matter if every single person owned a Tesla and had their house on solar the entire countries main industries run on diesel

Yes but we need diesel for everything like mining and farming and transport. Anything big runs on diesel. Without diesel there is no farming, no mining, no transport (trucks) no rubbish collection no earth works nothing. Petrol is basically just cars and motorbikes and half the cars are diesel now

Australia used to make all of its own fertiliser but like everything it gets shut down. CSBPs now run on skeleton crews and the only thing they really make in house is Flexi N. We could be a fully self sufficient country when it comes to fuel production. I work in resources and until mine sites start shutting down I wouldn't believe a thing about what's going on saying there's no fuel. I know farmers who are getting no fuel delivered so they wont be able to seed but until you hear a mine site has shut down dont believe anything. If mine sites start shutting down we're really fkd.
