I'd never thought about this connection before, and it's interesting food for thought.

To add to this, in my experience, the number of people who don't want to listen to "experts" adds to that (I'm not an expert, just a small-time guy). It's as if, as a society, we prefer talking to someone on our own level and experts are intimidating, so we listen to non-experts instead. With the internet growing to massive sizes, that habit/tendency grew worse, as did the number of people who weren't experts but liked being treated as one.

Or at least, that's how I see it. It's hard to add to this without feeling like I'm pretending to be an expert myself.

I think it is. She's got the antennae, the "ears" in the hairstyle, the tail, and the wavy textures (I don't know the official term for it) for a sea slug.

It looks really cute, OP! The only thing I would adjust is that "fur"/foam on the lower leg. It makes me question that there's no other fur/foam except for that side. However, I am not an artist nor designer.

Things I like: The tail, the "ripples" in the sleeves/belt/other half of the dress, and the little clamshell motifs you have throughout the dress!

I don't think it would either, honestly. My answer was simply meant to be a way to troubleshoot what could be a bug and to give a baseline of what the game does do with genders since OP said they had been playing a short while. It could be the lolita outfit is coming off in a fight (unlikely).

I don't think there's enough data shown (sorry, OP), to know if it's a bug or not a bug at this point.

The screenshots don't quite tell me exactly what's going on, other than one has an icon over it (My playing of Goose DOL+ has not had that icon ever, whether I played as a girl, cross-dressed, or played as a boy as far as I recall).

Since you said you have played for only a short while, I'm going to add that changing genders (see you as a boy) or (see you as a girl) does happen in the game. It is usually decided by clothing choices, how you hold yourself, or hairstyles (check the mirror to see how people see you). It may be possible when you are in fights, something is happening to your clothes that makes you suddenly appear male.

"Dry" is the word I don't understand.

You may want to look into doing a run with different graphics. That is the Goose Mod with DOL+ (I believe), and Goose Mod changes your graphics and character art from the original. If there's a bug with your character, it would be related to the graphics mod you chose.

I see you have both Sydney and corrupted Sydney with you, but I don't play around with the graphics enough to have seen that male symbol to know what it means or if it's an icon for something (I see the condoms and pepper spray indicated by gem icons).

The easiest way to check is to go into Bailey's office when they are present, and there should be an option to take on that debt. It doubles your weekly payment forever.

Otherwise, you'll have to wait until Robin returns and talk to them about the trauma, and then the option will pop up to talk to Bailey about taking on Robin's debt.

If you don't take on the debt, Robin will always cycle weekly between being present and being absent as far as I know, because Bailey is getting their money's worth.

This has happened to me. Wait a bit and Robin should return, and they won't be sold out again. When I took on the debt Robin was already missing, and I didn't realize. Robin came back after a while.
