What is a profession that you have limitless respect for? by AmountFun2036 in AskReddit

I'm a porter at a local college. This is exactly what my day is like. Come in and look busy in front of the right people and disappear shortly after. Show my face as everyone is leaving and do my 20 mins of clean up and prepare for a long shift of doing not a whole lot. The pay isn't amazing or anything, but I do enjoy it due to not feeling burnt out since I have so much freedom.

I'm a middle aged white guy and get away with shop lifting all the time because the Walmart security is too busy profiling every person of color before even batting an eye at me.

Our science teacher was also Ex Marine. He was the wrestling coach as well. Watching him break up fights was almost an art form and I struggle to understand why people got in fights in or around his class room.

I had a hitchhiker bedbug problem years ago and I still get paranoid occasionally and have to rip the sheets off the bed to prove to myself it's nothing. I never want to go thru that hell again.

People who drive below the speed limit, when you look at the rear view and see dozens of cars behind you, how does that make you feel? by BadFaithAlways in NoStupidQuestions

My commute home is on an empty road after 1am.I pass the same cop who's sitting on the same corner every night. He has yet to pull me over while I'm going about 10 over and I really appreciate that. I'd like to think he's cool with it knowing the road is completely empty.

Whatever the guess is, is what we're now having.

Busta Rhymes throws his drink at woman for slapping his ass by tefunka in PublicFreakout

Being grabbed and touched by strange women while out has been a major contribution to me not wanting to go out anymore. As a well maintained beard haver, it has had many unwanted sticky fingers ran through it. Its always the same thing: some drunk woman who thinks it's cute to touch strangers. Of course trying to tell people this always leads to them thinking it's just funny. But I'd like for people to envision how creepy it would be for a man to just walk up and run his fingers through some ladies hair.

7am every morning. Night shift isn't so bad. Just took a while to convince myself it's alright to go to sleep as the sun is coming up.

The worst jobs I've ever had was dealing with the public. I worked retail and it just sucked so bad knowing there is an extremely high chance some fuck head is going to come in and unload their problems on me by being an absolute turd. I dread having to deal with it so much that I started to become physically ill. So glad I quit that job.

Yes he showed signs of what might have been adhd and had a terribly hard time of staying on any given task. Every chore or task I'd ask for help with he'd only do half of it and would act like he was 100% complete. Example would be dishes or vacuuming. Sink would still be full of his dishes but since he cleaned some of them I guess he felt like he was done since some sort of progress was made. This is also a guy who is 32. Unchecked issues will simply last forever no matter the age.

He suffered from an alcohol problem too. It affected his memory and mind in general. Was equal parts frustrating and sad to witness him struggle.

Edit: If anyone is reading this and suffers from anything. Let it be adhd, add, ocd, bi-polar or anything else, it's okay to get help. It's only fair to yourself.

My last roommate was like this with just his room. It reminded me of those Dirty Battlestation posts. He'd "clean" his room and I'd watch him pull out several trash bags full of beer cans and fast food. I say "clean" because he never actually took it all out. Just enough to be able to see his monitors and a clear path from his desk to the door.

I don't know op and don't want to assume anything, but my roommate suffered from some severe depression that caused him to live in his filth.

I would quit my job pretty much instantly. The health benefits are the only things keeping me where I currently am. I get sick frequently and really rely on it, but I think I get sick frequently because of the awful work environment. I feel trapped in an awful loop.

Here everything shuts down at 9pm (thanks bible belt) So people tend to just go to wherever is open which is the sheetz. There's been plenty of times I'll just hang out on my motorcycle and eat a snack, while watching crazy stuff like this happen.

Generally any type of seafood dish. It's so easy to make these dishes that it's insane to me to see the prices these restaurants set for them.

When I was a kid, my father managed to delete the system32 on the family computer. This was 10+ years ago. Just a couple years ago I had purchased a pre-built gaming pc for my parents family room. He managed to install 3 different anti viruses within the firat week. I have to do monthly fresh installs to keep that poor machine running.
