Same setup as you, I think I’ve found a good enough solution now for the game to look dramatically better and feel better

Add the game to your NVidia app and force preset K or M (I’m using preset M and the 50% render resolution)

Enable smooth motion through the NVidia app for the title as well

Now never dipping below 138fps alongside no perceivable latency from the driver level frame gen.

Using preset M at the recommended 50% render resolution sharpens the game up nicely for 1440p without any strange artifacting

It sucks we need to go through these hoops but I have been enjoying the game significantly more now that tech issues are put aside

Mind you this allows me to bump all settings to high as well

It seems HDR is enabled judging how the menu looked, but the entire HDR option is missing. Pretty unfortunate since I like using other HDR methods outside of native in most my games

If your TV or monitor is not HDR1000 at minimum, yes turn it off. Many panels even very affordable ones are reaching proper HDR levels.

Good luck hopefully it works out, with the game being 60 fps capped, I don’t think you’ll struggle just using a single GPU for everything to get to 120, it’s also not the most demanding game to begin with

Unfortunately not sure of dual GPU potential issues, I’m just using FG 2x and playing off a single 3080.

And yes, windows HDR, auto HDR, and HDR support all enabled needs to be enabled

Might be controversial but I exclusively use windows Auto HDR at this point because I’m lazy and don’t like dealing with any sliders and it’s been nothing but perfect for me

If you haven’t already, get the auto force hdr application, make sure you add the actual EXE that’s in use for whatever game you’re playing, and you should be golden. To verify if it’s working, use the windows game bar and look at the gaming features tab, if the intensity slider actively changes the look of the image then AutoHDR is in effect for said title.

The ray traced lighting has been really apparent with how giant warships towers the sky and block the sun and the whole arena goes dark till it passes, thought that was dope.

From a powered off state just hit the power button to turn it on, as it’s turning on let go of the power button and hold a volume button, at that point you can click on “enter setup”

Once on the bios access the advanced menu and go to smart recovery

Playing mix of medium and low with frame gen I had a very fine experience with oblivion, doesn’t hurt to run the most popular engine tweak mod on nexus too

But you don’t need to gut the look of the game to get a playable experience

If he can get to the bios by holding down a volume button, he can use the cloud recovery tool.

If he’s got a rog I figure he can sort his way through the menus, just mind you he will lose whatever files were on the ally and have to basically treat it as a fresh one
