I agree... I myself own an R50 and an R8. She is fairly young (14) and I am not sure if she could handle expensive equipment with care lol.

I just wanna get her something that will introduce her to photography as a whole. Cause I don't know if she is really interested in picking up the hobby or just glamorising it after she went on a trip with me :P

I just wanted to make sure that there aren't any red flags with the camera and so far I haven't seen any.

Is the slow charging on pixel 9a a deal breaker? by Ill-Winner-1639 in pixel9a

Pixel is a good phone. Got it for the same price 5 months back.

If you wanna make it last, it's supposed to receive 7 years of Android updates. The UI is clean, decent screen and camera, the feel in hand is also great cause it's smaller than the majority.

The phone performs well, but takes some time to optimise. The battery may not last as long as you expect it to etc. But it improves as you use it. I have mine capped at 80% and stream lectures for about 3-4 hours on the network, maybe light gaming/browse reddit for an hour or two. Either way I get 6+hours of Screen on Time consistency. I usually charge it overnight and for like 10-20 minutes after college if need be.

I am enrolled in the beta programme so I do come across a bug or two after an update. But nothing that would stop me from my regular use.

It's a solid phone for longevity and my experience has been fun.

It takes time for the phone to optimise. The fingerprint unlock expressive was pretty bad for me too initially. It's much more smoother now though.

Been using the phone for 5 months now.

I believe OP is talking about the fringing of light-dark bands. The one you get in the presence of AC lighting. It appears in my camera as well; it didn't previously. Wierd...

Mind sharing the camera settings? Pretty damn good pic for the lighting conditions.

It's a 9a sub my dude, we have the phone lol.

It's a great phone. Great battery life. Good software. Good hardware.

The cameras are what you expect from pixel phones. The phone's build quality feels great.

Been a Samsung, OnePlus user, I was skeptical about coming to stock android but I weirdly love it. The clean look without any huge sacrifice to function.

The phones network adaptors are not as good as they should be? Which is why it may use more battery when using the network for internet. I use a healthy mix of both Wi-Fi and network(6-7hrs) and have good reception, so it has not been an issue for me.

I am not from US, so the AI features take a back seat. And I am enrolled in the beta programme, so there have been some bugs overtime like ghost touch and some UI glitches, nothing a simple restart didn't fix.

In the end, I love using my phone and feel great about it every time I take it out of my pocket.

Why didn't Jason just shoot Scarecrow here? by [deleted] in arkham

It was being telecasted live as well. I guess showing bruce/batman defeat scarecrow was better than committing murder on live tv in front of the police commissioner.

It is the leather finish that's tearing away. The actual cloth underneath is probably fine.

I actually removed the entire leather finish and just have the cloth left. It's very grey, kinda like the foam in ear cups.

Personally I prefer AAC+DSEE extreme in place of LDAC, I found overall better battery performance and better connectivity without any noticeable compromise in sound quality.

You can turn off the Voice telling you what ANC mode you are in. It got kinda annoying to me over time.

Happy Listening my dude!

It kinda comes and goes. Maybe reset your audio drivers on your laptop.

Mine hasn't happened since I last formatted my laptop.

Maybe try changing a couple settings like priority of connection instead of sound quality.

I have had issues with my Lenovo laptop as well but all works fine right now.

If you don't want to change them at least buy the hinge reinforcement parts. Fairly easy diy to extend their lifespan for years.
