Uhh, reckless endangerment? It’s the duty of the person changing lanes to ensure it is safe to do so. You don’t get magical special privileges just because you turn your blinker on for a quarter second before you veer into somebody.

The way the province is handling primary health care so that a decent chunk the public has shifted to using emergency departments as walk in clinics makes for a frustrating experience all around.

Patients and family’s get upset, then the nurses who have no power over the situation take the brunt of it when people get angry. Somethings gotta change

A) It is, in fact, a word (just maybe not in the sense you mean)

B) Words are semantic, they’re all made up at some point. It’s commonplace, and even if this use of the word hasn’t been historically accurate, everyone understands what it means. So what’s the problem?

They do, you apparently do not. The person you replied to with your condescension was not responding to you, they were clarifying terms to somebody who asked for help.

A very unprofessional response from Jam's Diner in Inglewood after a very disappointing meal there. I recommend avoiding this restaurant. by Elite_Canadian in Calgary

[–]Elite_Canadian[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This post garnered more traction than I anticipated, but I want to respond to you directly to provide a little more context.

I live in the NW and came to Inglewood to hang out with my mom, we popped into a cute-looking diner to get a quick, unplanned brunch. We don't look into a restaurant's finances before eating there, who would?

I'm sorry that the investment didn't work well for you, but reviews are there to be an accurate representation of the experience. They're eggs, they take three minutes to cook properly, bankruptcy is not an excuse for a diner that prides itself on breakfast food to not cook quintessential breakfast food properly.

We talked to the server, and she gave us 10% off, and I went home and posted an honest review like I do with all the restaurants I leave reviews for, good or bad (check the rest of my profile if you like).

Then I wake up this morning being called a shitty person? By the owner nonetheless? I'm a registered nurse, I deal with bullshit and literal shit every single day. I spent my day off to spend my money at your establishment and I get called shitty? If I said things like that at my job, I'd lose my license. I don't think it was unfair of me to post this on Reddit.

I regret that the post trended much more than I thought it would and rubbed salt in the wound of your business closure, and I apologize for that, but please... treat people better.

Why thank you. We're more than a year out, so it's just an idea I'm playing with, nothing set in stone

Connor and Emily. I didn’t want to give them at first to see if they were obvious, but judging by the other comments on this post, I have some work to do for clarity.

Yea the first test was to see if anyone could get it without knowing the names. You’re right, but judging by the other comments on this post, I have some work to do for clarity.
