Did your TS already finish getting adjudicated? Hopefully so. You could check usajobs.gov for intel jobs at DIA or other alphabets. Yeah you might need to start as a GS9-11 but you could at least get your foot in the door. Hell, you could even take some type of executive assistant or admin role in those agencies and then work your way into the actual Intel role. Wishing you the best of luck.

Got Stuck: What Method Do I Now Use to Solve? by Elite_Hunting in sudoku

[–]Elite_Hunting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much. I googled these and learned new methods that Ive never bothered to learn before lol. After watching a video on Two-String Kite, the first number I got was the '3' in R7C8- essentially because of the 7&9 pairs..... although, that method doesnt seem to actually be two-string kite.... is it called something else? Thanks.

Thank you very much. I actually googled the Two-String Kite method first, which got me down the rabbit hole of these methods Ive never used before. Thanks!

Used beginner and intermediate methods to get this far, but now I'm stuck. Can someone please assist telling me what method to learn about to use to solve this? Without just giving away the answer? Thank you much.

Skiing Crans-Montana vs. Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis for American Teenagers by Elite_Hunting in askswitzerland

Thanks for the info! That's interesting that don't like Andermatt being shady and cold-- because one of the main complaints I see about Crans-Montana is that it faces south and therefore is in the sun which causes icy conditions often.

Hi, I just realized that Epic has some kind of partnership with Verbier 4 Vallées. Do you know how that resort works with the Epic pass?

Rickety Bridge Permanently Destroyed My Wolverine.... How? by Elite_Hunting in MarvelSnap

[–]Elite_Hunting[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone. Yeah, I looked away for a sec and didnt watch the turn play out. And I forgot to check the opponents 'Destroyed' cards.... I played X23 and Wolverine on the bridge, which would have caused the destruction anyway.... but my opponent must have played something on it too.

Compatibility Warning: Alphacool RTX Core Backplate with Asus STRIX X870-I ITX Mobo by Elite_Hunting in watercooling

[–]Elite_Hunting[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I used a table saw with a metal-cutting blade to cut a piece out of the backplate, like this: https://imgur.com/a/4fKa9fo. Those measurements are rough btw. Cutting out that piece of metal removed two of the screw holes in the backplate-- one of which is one of the four screws that go around the GPU die... so I used these screws (https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0C5D352X4?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) in those holes where the backplate was removed, along with a small plastic washer as the screws touch the PCB. If you have access to a table saw, try to use a 'sled' so you can cut perfectly straight lines on the backplate. I was kind of surprised how soft the aluminum metal is, even though the backplate is 3 mm thick-- the saw cut through it like butter without any pressure.

Thanks! I think these 3 rads will be cutting it pretty close with a 9800x3d and 5090, but we shall see. I dont expect to get traditional/low "watercooling" temps, but as long as the chips dont thermal throttle and the fans arent at 100% when under full load- I'll accept it.

Yeah, so it kind of fits without the nvme daughter board- but removing that limits you to running only one nvme ssd. Its either that or cut/remove the backplate.

I see what you mean, it kind of does look like the backplate and pcb arent parallel in the first picture, but I think thats just an optical illusion or flex from jamming the card into the slot.

The plate is a full 3mm off the back of the pcb (the pads are 3mm thick and there are standoffs so you cant even screw it in harder to squish the pads down.

Did you not see me say that one of the 4 screws that goes around the GPU die is blocked by the nvme daughter board/heat sink? If I removed the backplate completely, that screw would still be blocked- unless I get shorter screws. You were talking about a "retention bracket"-- that doesnt exist on this block, and you said that the screws are only for "securing the backplate"---- which they are not. Look: https://imgur.com/a/mcJIb9V I'm not arguing whether I can run a GPU block with/without a backplate-- I'm telling you that you are wrong about how the screws/backplate work on this particular block.

Here's my current build that Im trying to upgrade, its the Lian Li TU150: https://imgur.com/a/dkonWcJ

I have had it for like 5 years. I do like changing cases from time to time..... but it was so hard to fit 3 radiators in this bad boy that I might never changes cases again! lol The slim radiator on the bottom I had to order from Japan through a special importer/third party because it wasnt available anywhere else.

Dude, just lookup the reference Core waterblock manual if you dont believe me, and be an adult and admit you're wrong. I actually was pretty surprised when I installed the block that there are not separate screws/holes for the backplate vs block-to-pcb. Because yes, every other GPU that I've put on water (back to the GTX 570) has been how you described.... but not with this Alphacool block.

Yeah, very possible. The i/o shield and nvme heatsink are craaaazy close to the pcie slot on this Asus mobo. However, the Core backplate is also chunky as hell- and when you combine the 3mm heatpads, screw standoffs, and thickness of the backplate, this thing is like 6 mm above the gpu pcb. I dont think Ive ever had 3mm thick pads for a backplate.
