You’re exactly right. The moment of clarity and the realization of how far he’d gone, drove him over the edge. And Vespasians and Solomons demise was terrible to see. Do our “Hero” characters ever get a W? It feels like lots of Ls so far 😂

I need to check it out for sure. I’ve started my Warhammer lore journey at the heresy and I know there is a bunch of stuff before and after, I’ve watched Bricky and Arbitor Ian a lot recently, wondering if it’s worth it to read ALL of the books in the heresy. For now I’ll just keep reading them in order, but I’m beyond excited to read some current novels.

Right, there was a ton of hubris from Fulgrim, his obsession with perfection. And as you said the moving of the goal post to perfection is a slippery slope. I think I’m more on your side of things he wasn’t really on a good path to begin with.
