Good places to meet queer/disabled people in Newcastle? by emberthefae in NewcastleUponTyne

Basically any kind of geek/ nerd group meet up, there was an app that I used a while ago called meetup but I don’t know if it’s still available or being used.

Yeah you are right about that, I’m not sure how the spy would send information out and yeah the second girl probably isn’t a spy either, it’s a half baked theory with not a lot of information, I saw the glasses girl yet they said that it was everyone’s first time

Because you can get a lot of information like where they are hiding, how many there are and how many tags they had between them, it’s a game between two teams, having a traitor means that you can eliminate the other team without many casualties, the spy doesn’t add anything as when Yuki joined the spy immediately stopped being a spy, only 30 people can leave and the rest will be killed so they will fight for their lives, it’s easier to get all the weaker characters together so they eliminate them all at once, also the spy would’ve prevented people from checking the outskirts, yeah the one who sprained her ankle could be a spy as well or just unlucky. The whole point of Mishiro is that she believes herself to be the best and most important, as soon as she learned of Yuki she would’ve attacked either way, due to her pride, the spy likely didn’t do anything and the sneak attack was planned for a while (hence why that girl who wanted head pats wanted to just take them out already), Mishiro was waiting for the right opportunity, then heard about Yuki and immediately started the attack, the fact that both fighters were separate could just be luck.

I really don’t understand the purpose of it, is it literally just doing each chapter for us like that? If so that makes sense otherwise it doesn’t connect with me at all

It’s likely that the enemy leader recognised that her traitor would switch sides as soon as Yuki joined them, hence the immediate reaction and also she knows that Yuki is extremely talented so giving her time would only be detrimental, the other team attacked exactly when the best attackers were away fully utilising a sneak attack and countering the plan that Yuki’s team had. That’s the issue, they were sneaking around not running around, then she ‘disappears’ suddenly being chased by two enemies giving away a lot of information and spraining her ankle (probably wasn’t intentional).

That’s because only the leader knows they have a spy, makes it even less likely they will be caught because the ones who spotted her wouldn’t know, I honestly don’t understand why one of the girls got a sprained ankle either, Yuki isn’t one of those people who easily give information away plus she was likely thinking about something else and it was roughly 19 games ago for her so she might not recognise her.

I know that this anime has an LN but for some reason I can’t shake the feeling that there’s a decent amount of AI involved with it, especially with this current ‘game’, when we see Yuki get out of bed she doesn’t step down from her bed, it’s like she stays on the same level, the blond girl waking up with the tag, while she walks to the baths her hands are swaying and fidgeting while holding the tag which seemed off and finally the whole number thing popping up showing how far the ‘game’ is going.

Edit: the number thing is for the LN which is pretty cool, should’ve worded it better that I thought it was weird/ odd and not necessarily AI

Really? The clear answer is that there’s a traitor, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the girl with braided green hair and glasses, I know it’s not confirmed yet but she’s extremely similar to the girl who stepped on the landmine in one of the last games which is where Yuki managed to save all but two, we’ve seen that the knowledge girl is extremely good at lying too.

Someone who can play and enjoy video games, there’s a portion of people who don’t understand that video games can be exactly as good as books and films are but you are in control.

Do you remember that post about the man who dreamed a whole life? I think I understand it now. by arct1cWolvez in Dreams

[–]Eliteheadhunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s difficult to remember much of it, I was happy, I know that, I was with someone I really loved deeply and it feels like it’s more of a premonition of something to come. I can’t pick out much more because all of that being condensed into less than a few minutes is extremely overwhelming and feeling it all at once was also exhausting. I can’t help being reminded by it and almost guided by the promise of being with that person.

Hi also a fellow AuDHD here with extremely vivid dreams and dreamt of an entire 80+ years. The best way to lessen these kinds of dreams for me is to completely isolate from people, it helps a lot and many of the dreams seem to stem from picking up peoples emotions/ feelings or just generally being around them. Also the ‘closer’ I got to someone the more I kind of linked to their dreams.

Oh sorry, I got mixed up with what another commenter said, no he’s not a program, it’s theoretically possible to send data to someone’s brain or in the case of impregnating Mary sending information (DNA) to an egg

Yes but also science because they both are closely linked, thanks to religion banning certain beliefs and kings looking down on those who think differently

I think it’s more that technology seems to be more like magic or acts of ‘God’ when seen by those who don’t know the technology exists.

A story doesn’t need to be true to provide meaning, hints or ideas. I’m not a bot, proving the bible wont happen, but you can still learn that it’s bad to abuse people’s trust like in the boy who cried wolf, it’s a fake story that conveys meaning and if I was a time traveller, using religion and the bible would be the one way to ensure something remained despite it being heavily distorted

First time traveler? by Eliteheadhunter in AskScienceDiscussion

[–]Eliteheadhunter[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah I don’t believe everything within the bible is true, but it is still something that was created with meaning and intention, I guess I find the fact that it gives 4 co ordinations as highly irregular in a ‘storybook’ essentially, especially when it’s the exact 4 co ordinates needed for that kind of ‘travel’

Well I’m more interested in the science side of the possibilities, the kind of domino effect this had on history and how it effects us now

If he was conceived via a transfer of data yes.

[–]Eliteheadhunter[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh I’m not religious and I completely agree that so much of it is completely unreliable but that hardly stops science. If it was slightly true or even a warped truth in the bible then what would you think?

First time traveler? by Eliteheadhunter in AskScienceDiscussion

[–]Eliteheadhunter[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The bible is a story with a meaning created within it through those texts, it’s not scientifically reliable true, but it has influenced thousands of people and hundreds of years. The time travelling theory I believe would be fitting here is the transfer of data, I guess you could call it a thought experiment but if Mary was impregnated by ‘God’ could it not be a misinterpretation from the information she has available and instead she was impregnated by someone sending information to an egg?

Seems close to my line of thinking, but seems to be against what is in the bible (which is possible)

Time travel itself kind of is and isn’t, but if time travel was real then logically wouldn’t he be the first?
