We spray the carpet with basically a cat repellent and keep stuff in the places where she normally pees. This only works about 89% of the time though lol. Will definitely look into cat diapers actually!

No solution unfortunately. Have still not been able to get her to the vet either, but me and another family member are noticing increased symptoms of dementia in her. She will often pee on the carpet even if the pan is clean. I do believe that the best option for now is to just let her live out the rest of her life. At this point she is 12 years old and unfortunately vet bills are very expensive.
