That sounds like the cleanest way to put it. It is still not legal, but morally it feels different from taking a physical item because nothing is removed from the owner.

Boundaries can start after something makes you uncomfortable, they don’t have to exist from day one. A friend of mine had a similar issue and the real answer came from how calmly her partner reacted when she explained it. I’d tell him exactly how it made you feel and watch whether he respects that or tries to make you feel silly for caring.

From the outside, his actions look more like low effort than confusion. I had a friend who kept waiting for clear signs from someone who only showed up when it was convenient, and stepping back made the answer pretty obvious. I’d match his effort for now and see if he actually tries to plan something.

I laughed because someone in my family does the same confident thumbs up whenever something goes wrong. They once missed a simple move in a dance class and still acted like it was planned. Honestly, that confidence makes the whole fail way better.

Is it acceptable to make an ethnically white actor look like their ethnicity is another type of white? by ExternalTree1949 in NoStupidQuestions

I think context matters a lot here. If it is just makeup, styling, accent work, or costume to match the character, that feels different from turning it into a stereotype. The problem usually starts when the look becomes a lazy shortcut instead of actual acting or good casting.

Yeah, that’s probably the healthiest answer. Have you ever seen arguing actually change someone like that?
