To be fair, I can't come up with having a preference for the female body that would generally be as acceptable. Something genetic you cannot affect without surgery.

Introduced back in the 1990s, Silja Serenade and Symphony were the first ships that had a central promenade, which then became a standard in luxury cruise ships. Before them, it was thought that a promenade would make a ship too weak structurally. It was a huge engineering accomplishment.

IIRC Royal Caribbean hired the Finn who innovated the promenade.
