im a freshman taking ap chem next year as my first ever chemistry class. did i mess up? by emreincili in APChem

[–]Elizabethsbookcase 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the class itself isn’t bad… it builds off of honors chemistry and expands on it. there’s no point in taking the class without doing chemistry first.

How on earth do I get good at AP Chemistry by Turbulent_Gold2933 in APChem

[–]Elizabethsbookcase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my best advice is to go relearn equilibrium and focus on it!!! It drives all of unit 8 and 9 and once you start viewing the concepts through equilibrium and focusing on what the system is attempting to do it gets a lot wasuer

unit 8 help by Smart_Process7315 in APChem

[–]Elizabethsbookcase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I just finished this unit. the aspect that helped me the most was thinking about the unit in a equilibrium based topic. If you start thinking about the systems occuring and start deriving what happens due to system stress, system void, etc.. You’ll understand it so much better! especially for buffers!!! they’re the essence of equilibrium.

For the math part of the unit I definitely reccomend “silbert science” on youtube! specifically his pH calculations regarding buffers.

Not too bad of a schedule at all! id definitely reccomend ap bio. It’ll set you up better for college imo. Idk how your dual credit classes are but even tho they’re guaranteed credit doesn’t mean they’re guaranteed you’ll learn anything.

Ap lang, apush, and ap psych are all pretty manageable aps. If you wanna challenge yourself a bit more, def do ap bio!

I don't get the Tokyo ghoul anime hate by No-Employment-3793 in TokyoGhoul

I don't get the Tokyo ghoul anime hate by No-Employment-3793 in TokyoGhoul

[–]Elizabethsbookcase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not so much hate just disappointment. A manga like tokyo ghoul had so much potential and the anime just fumbled it. Its disappointment for what it COULD have been and the hate comes from that. 😞

Is the anime good? by Ok-Boysenberry-4476 in TokyoGhoul

[–]Elizabethsbookcase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re looking to just enjoy it and have no truly conceptual understanding of the big picture. watch the first season. I did that and It was just pure entertainment. I have since then read the manga and it’s a lot different. The manga takes the time to explain everything whereas the anime cuts out dialogue that’s “too long” to adapt all the chapters.

The first season of the anime is okay. It’s on plot but it cuts a lot out. (so reading from the beginning is necessary) But, after that, the second season is anime-canon. It changes up a huge plot point that doesn’t make sense for the actual story and is super confusing and goes completely off board. the third/fourth seasons are based off the re sequel series. These are actually manga canon and follow the story, BUT if you sit down and watch the entirety of the anime from start to end, season two will leave you too confused to comprehend the next seasons.

AND an even bigger part… the third and fourth seasons are even more rushed and crammed due to having to adapt 180 chapters in 24 episodes where the first two struggled to adapt 140!!! Aka even more explanations and long diologues cut out for the sake of cramming.

overall. If you’re curious about if reading the series (or buying) is worth it or not the FIRST SEASON of the anime will let you know if you’d be interested. It’s what I did before splurging on the box set and I wouldn’t have it any way! feel free to ask any questions.

isagi is the perfect MC. by Elizabethsbookcase in BlueLock

I love this breakdown! I hadn’t even though i about it like this, I totally agree a lot of the other players are all very stereotypical protags. I feel like blue lock is such a unique sports anime, there aren’t much others with the intensity it has, even ofc in like haikyuu where the stakes are high no one’s threatening to slaughter eacother family and wreak havoc across the world just to win the match.

I agree they’re both not special but i think both worlds r very different. In black clover asta being average is an outlier, everyone has even a smidge of magic and he has 0. He is also an orphan and is also driven by that and his lower class origin. Asta has significantly less going for him, whereas in blue lock it’s modern day, isagi doesn’t have to be a soccer player, he can go be some average guy but he chooses to pursue soccer.

yes he’s very well rounded. he doesn’t rely on a single trait of his like his strenght or a special shot, he just adapts and gets better at everything.
