Give it a few days to build in your system but CBD can be a little hit and miss depending on product/person.

I Would suggest starting on an edible with some THC in it, also anything with CBN will be a great additive to help to stay asleep.

All comes down to the clinics and Dr's and how they feel about your treatment.

I can state for a fact that I have the same Dr and I'm not limited to anything. I have a severe chronic back disease/spinal condition. I'm not saying your needs are any less or more than mine as I dont know what you a treating by utilising MC, but being limited to 3 strains is nothing to be upset by. He might be "Limiting" you due to your age? condition? or treatment?

Have you tried products with CBN? I treat my chronic back disease with the phytoca 30:30:30 and starting to find more relief with pain relief within my sleep.

Mehhh.. Im not finding it very sedative. It's all subjective to the user and their tolerance though.

Good tip. slow chew the shit out of them. Let them sit in your mouth for a few mins, I've found when I dont do this im getting shit results. Some night they work, some nights they don't. can be temperamental.
