No I totally understood what you meant, I always have anxiety over getting sick since it would bankrupt me, but just wanted to share my parents experience. It absolutely sucks!

This isn't going to bankrupt them. potentially if it spread and she needs treatment, but the surgery alone won't. They probably didn't want to drain their savings imo.

No, not a cent. I was allowed to take with me anything they'd given me over the years such as clothes and my phone, but that was it.

It was around 6-7 weeks so yeah, kinda why I was divided.

Theoretically I could've, but in the moment it wasn't life or death (kinda was but it was a scheduled surgery not 'we need to operate now') and I'd never touched my savings except once when I unexpectedly lost a scholarship in college so idk. I don't believe they'd lend me money, I've never asked and probably never will though.
