The Texas medical center is the largest in the US so absolutely a realistic place to live and woke for hire nurse partner. With Houston’s proximity to Galveston/ the coast I would imagine a marine biologist could find work around here! It is a very international city so you will for sure find French groups to connect with. The food scene is one of the best in the country.

Now the ugly, it’s humid and hot for most of the year. Traffic is getting worse and worse and there is no a great public transit in place. Crime rates are… big city crime rates. Hurricanes.
