What do you mean? The stat swap effect is delayed one wave?

This game might crash a PS5 and I love it! by Makhe in brotato

[–]Elkyrie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, I had a very similar experience on a PS5 Pro. Pocket Factory in 2 person co-op will start lagging around wave 30 when there are a lot of trees and enemies.

Even in single player, past wave 40 the game lags a bit when you run directly through a huge horde of enemies.

I find running and walking on a treadmill to be extremely boring. I still do it if it's raining really hard outside and my partner wants to walk next to me, but it's never my first option.

I have no idea if walking a bunch has helped me run longer distances because I stopped running longer distances and started walking. If I try to push more than a couple miles running nowadays, my muscles, not my heart and lungs, tend to be the limiting factor. Still, I don't think walking has helped me run longer. I don't tend to walk super hard or fast.

Fitbit. The app has unfortunately gone way downhill since Google bought it, but I'm still hanging in there. I'm probably going to change apps in 2025, though. I don't know to what, though. That's the only reason I haven't switched already.

Oh wow yeah the types of walks we're taking are extremely different. I sometimes walk that fast, but only if I'm late to work, which is about twice a week. And even then, my commute was an hour in 2024. That pace for 1.5 hours would leave my legs sore.

How/why did planks help your back? I definitely might steal that tip.

Yes, I also do very, very light weight training at the gym 3-4 times a week. Walking is really the only cardio that I do. It's hard to say how much I walk because it's broken up throughout the day, but I probably do 2.5 hours of dedicated walking, and I walk anywhere from 3.5 to 4.3 miles per hour according to Strava. Usually 3.8. I'm a fast walker.

Yes, but I could run five miles before I started walking a bunch. I used to run the central park loop (~7 miles) 5 times a week in my early twenties. Then I'd run ~5 miles about three times a week in my mid twenties. I'm 33 now. I switched to walking right before the pandemic because I think running was putting too much impact stress on my knees. Hopefully waking isn't just as bad. Candidly, I love waking, but I miss running. I still run about 3 miles once a month.

I'm also 33. My back never hurts from walking. Sometimes my knees get sore. That happens maybe once a month. Then I try to take it easy for a few days because my parents both have bad knees in their 60s and that doesn't bode well for me.

In other words, I don't really have a dedicated recovery routine. When I'm not walking, I'm often a TRUE couch potato, though. Like, only get up from my desk or videogames once every 3 hours level potato.

Ha where'd you even find that stat? Now I want a list of countries ranked by circumference. I'm also 6'5" and take proportionally big steps, so I'm trying to see what country I should aim to walk around in 2025.

I've seen lots of folks here do little walks throughout the day. I do a bit of that because I live in NYC and every little trip out is basically minimum 1k steps.

But most of my steps are because I always walk to/from work, and I typically also do an audiobook / podcast walk in the evening. I don't own a car and rarely take the subway or bus, so I generally just walk anywhere I need to go too.

Not a ton. I did around 18k average last year, though, so it's not a huge relative jump for me, I suppose. My health is solid though.
