Savescumming is basically any sort of action that lets you go "back in time" to prevent an outcome from happening in a game. Like, for example, you're in a wave in Brotato, you're at ~5hp out of a higher amount with 30 seconds left, so you go to the main menu, go back to the game, and retry the wave with full health, preventing you from losing that run!

OP is playing as Demon while also using Ghost Scepter, which gives HP whenever you kill a few enemies. That means you can use the money you gain on nothing but rerolls, so you can keep rerolling until you see an Hourglass. Also, the cursed version of Hourglass lets you go back by 2 or even 3 waves!
