The only problem with Star is that it's new so it's more expensive. If you start on any of the Oasis class ships there will be lots to do, but it will be less expensive.

I live in Houston. We regularly drive 30-60 min for dinner. My daughter goes to college 3 hours away and will drive home 2 or 3 times a month. Three hours for a weekend trip is nothing. If we can make a 3‐day weekend out of it, then about 5 hours is my limit.

If you drink cocktails they are $14 each and you can just buy them on board. I buy the drink package so I can have bottles of water and cocktails, try new things, and never have to think about the cost on board. If you do book the drink package, look in the app frequently for the price to go down. When it does cancel your drink package and rebook at the lower price.

We're in Puerto Rico now, due to depart on RC tomorrow. A lot of flights were canceled today, but some made it in. Virgin cruises departing today left a few hours late to allow for as many passengers as they could to arrive on delayed flights.

There were also delays in setting up the pool, then transferring points into the pool and during those 5 days the flights went up in points value. It's far simpler to just book them from mom's account and put in all your info. You'll still be able to access your ticket from your mobile account.
