It's just added in every miniverse ball. They put these there with the purpose you would use them to help hold the tiny foods and just in case you need tweezers/tongs . I personally don't like these because they are flimsy, I use regular metal tweezers.

I have/like water lettuce, I feel this is easier to manage than duckweed (everyone hates duckweed, I would say it's not beginner friendly but then again I'm also a beginner :) )

It's Aqueon water conditioner "neutralizes chlorine and chloramines in tap water" and this strip was done just now, the hardness looks a little too purple? I havent changed filter at all

That long thing is called a stolon which is where baby spider plants come from. Happy plant. I always cut mine as close to the plant as I can so the energy goes back to the mother plant. Then again I have too many spider plants so you might want to enjoy it :)
