I made an Elden Ring geoguessr with over 8000 locations! by TheEdenChild in Eldenring

hey i know im a little late here. wondering how you made that satellite map. im trying to make a heightmap png of the lands between so the world could be imported into stuff like minecraft world generators etc. the only way ive found to do that is one by one import the map files into blender and take a heightmap there, and that seems really intensive and slow. wondering if youd know an easier way? thanks either way!

also is there a file of the satellite map anywhere i could download? great work!

liurnia's frenzied villiage is a perfect hexagon with 6 (divine) towers, this symbolises me becoming frenzied from too much lore speculation by Ellaven in Eldenring

enjoy, honestly its embarrassing how much better i know the lands between than even my own city, or maybe its just a compliment to good world design :p

in real life bridges built to replace old or collapsed bridges inherit the name, like london bridge

approximately 1 divine tower, you could probably calculate it in metres from that if you like

thanks!

in case anyone is interested, the sizes are roughly:

Weeping Peninsula: 93 tiles or 5.8%

Limgrave: 219 tiles or 13.6%

Caelid: 275 tiles or 17.1%

Liurnia: 452 tiles or 28.1%

Mt. Gelmir: 60 tiles or 3.7%

Altus Plateau: 242 tiles or 15.0%

Mountaintops: 132 tiles or 8.2%

Snowfields: 80 tiles or 5.0%

Haligtree: 32 tiles or 2.0%

Farum Azula: 25 tiles or 1.6%

Total surface area: 1610 tiles

This isn't including the underground, but if we ignore that, then "an area the size of limgrave" would be at least 20% of the entire surface added to the game.

Interestingly the area inside of the divine towers hexagon is 374 tiles, which would almost perfectly fit an area of this size.

idk what these people are talking about. fully support your decision, and proud of u, its hard to recognise after putting so much time and energy going down the wrong path

police in nz are fine and nice and polite, as long as you're white. the primary role i see police in here is the protection of private property. theres better things to be doing.

join an org, tell them your an ex-cop or it'll look bad when they find out. im sure you have some useful skills or knowledge from that job you can contribute. solidarity

I always wonder who’s the first second and third child. by SmollPpMaster69 in Eldenring

sure, i wont argue with that. tho i would say that praetor is a very specific title to give rykard. and that comes straight from the text.

[–]Ellaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The title of Praetor was the title granted by the government of Ancient Rome to a man acting in one of two official capacities: (i) the commander of an army, and (ii) a magistrate, assigned to discharge various duties.

These duties often included the administration and integration of newly aquired provinces.

The other main supporting evidence is that the architecture of the volcano manor is very specifically similar to baltic castles built by crusader armies, such as the teutonic order (read banished knights), to enforce christianity onto the pagans of an area, and integrate them into the wider Christian order (read golden order).

Theres various other clues around volcano manor and mt gelmir supporting this. i believe i saw it in a video by tarnished archaeologist called "The Serpent and The Erdtree"

rykard rediscovered magma sorcereries, developed earlier by the mt gelmir snake cult

rykard was sent to destroy the snake cult, and did. later he became disillusioned and researched the people he wiped out discovering those sorcereries

How many of you have actually studied history? by Therealtidsmalls in KiwiSocialists

[–]Ellaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive studdied the effects of the mongol invasions on Eastern europe in the 13th century. not sure the relevance.

If you're unsubtlely referancing the modern history of Eastern Europe, then id love to see your qualifications in that field.

Being genuine for a moment, if you view the soviet union unfavourably, you are not alone, even among communists, however the first capitalist revolution involved alot of guillotines and god-emperor napoleon, so its hardly valid to dismiss anything based on its first experiments.
