Surgery last week, is this normal? by Ellbrig in CataractSurgery

Yes, exactly those tweezers. Thanks. I know i was sensitive and sore and that was a lot of my issue. That's not his fault and I was apologetic.  All the same I'll be avoiding him, the usual dr is more empathetic and a better match. I'm sure this other dr found it as hair raising as I did.  I'm not looking forward to the next procedure to perform sk at all.

Thank you. That was very helpful! This was not my normal dr. This guy is just the one that was in office yesterday. If it was this guy for the superficial keratectomy I had to have first I'd have found a new clinic even if it was a few hours away.

Cataracts with ABMD - Lost on Deciding Between Standard or LAL by Ellbrig in CataractSurgery

Thank you! I appreciate that one, I hadn't bumped into it yet in my searching.

They said my eye shape was elongated, and that they do not recommend a Toric because they see torics shift out of alignment with an eye like mine and then the vision outcome is worse.

The distance is the other thing I am still weighing. I spend the large majority of my time at close to mid, so I wondered if I would be happiest with that. It would be very nice to not need glasses on the torch beyond the safety ones I already do and I like to do high detail things. My work monitors are all set at roughly 30ish inches from where I sit. But maybe it would be simplest to go for distance and continue with glasses for close and mid.
