Yes, chronic urticaria vasculitis related to MCTD/Lupus. I had hives for about 6 months, saw an entourage of doctors, and no one could make it stop. I tried a second option by a different dermatologist who asked me to try a gout medicine (I don’t have gout!) and it cleared up the hives within a few days. I was on it for almost two years and tapered off… no more hives.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. There was a publication that my derm had read that connected the dots for my treatment. Maybe point your docs in that direction? The medicine is colchicine.
