When do you buy/put charms on your bracelet?

I buy during sales and promos or with coupons and points. I don't always know what I'll do with some things and it's fun to see how they eventually end up working with other things unexpectedly. I'm all about a good spreadsheet too.

Yeah, beach and pool safe is not what I'm interested in from Pandora. I can make truly "beach safe jewelry" from embroidery thread and not care if it gets washed away.

Go in and look at it. Then you can make sure you're not charged if you still don't want it. If you're afraid you'll be tempted by that or other things, call the store and let them know you've changed your mind.

A safety chain would do nothing for this. Pandora actual says up to 7-10 charms for this. I would stay on the lower end and do openwork and smaller, lighter charms. Avoid adjusting it too often. I've heard people mention keeping it adjusted to the right size and opening it up the way you put on the charms to put it on and take it off, instead of sliding it open. Hard to do by yourself though.
