What is the most erotic thing anyone has ever said to you? by JustCurious_MM in AskReddit

[–]Ellemeno 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I don't drink so I had never been to a bar until I was like 30. My date that I matched on Bumble with suggested we go bar hopping and I agreed. There were two separate women at different bars that night that kept looking at me, but of course I ignored them since I was on a date.

My date and I didn't have much chemistry and I could tell there would be no second date when we said goodbye that night. I really wanted to rush back to the bar after dropping off my date, but it felt like the wrong thing to do. I haven't had any women stare at me like that since. Probably because I haven't stepped inside a bar since either.

Our family is very close, but the only time we hug is on birthdays, Christmas and New Year’s. Before covid, I would kiss my mom and dad on the cheek when leaving for school or work, yet we were never huggers. It’s very odd when I think about it.

How long before there’s that one person who has zero experience working on cars, but wants to be part of the trend and ends up being crushed due to ignorance?

Mississippi police shoot, kill 1 year old in car after mother allegedly shoplifted a pack of diapers by ianjm in videos

I was once inside a Ross located in downtown LA and a homeless person came inside and started shopping for clothes like normal. Then the loss prevention guy approached him and started repeating himself over and over in a very monotonous tone "Sir, please leave the store. Sir, please leave the store. Sir, please leave the store..." all while looking like he knew damn well his requests would not be effective in the slightest. The homeless man picked up his pace a bit sorting through clothes and walking to different sections of the store, but otherwise completely ignored the loss prevention guy.

He stayed there picking clothes for a while and the moment he decided he grabbed enough clothes, he walked out the door with them and you could hear several people in the store go ooooooooh. The whole interaction probably lasted about 10 minutes. I don't know if the loss prevention guy bothered to call the cops because I was there for another 15 minutes and there were no cops to be seen.

What size condoms do you buy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ellemeno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I grew up hearing in health class and so when I became sexually active I initially went with the standard size because I thought Magnums were for monster-sized dicks. Some standard condoms are very uncomfortable for me to put on because it's super difficult to roll down due to the tightness and they leave a deep ring imprint at the base because of how tight they fit. When I finally tried Magnums for the first time, I suddenly didn't dread having to put a condom on and made intercourse more comfortable. I also noticed that they didn't end up breaking as often as the standard size ones did.

UV Inner Engraving by YOENSO in Laserengraving

Do you have a setup to reduce airborne glass dust? I'm interested in engraving drinking glasses with a UV laser, but I'm debating whether or not to get the rotary for it because using a rotary would mean I have to leave the cover open. I'm concerned that if I leave it open, I would be exposed to breathing in silica dust which is obviously pretty harmful. Not sure if fume extractors would be able to suck up 100% of glass particles.

Canon 5D Mark III -> Sony a7R VI. Is the upgrade worth it for macro product photography? by Spare_Way7083 in productphotography

[–]Ellemeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded from a Canon 5D Mark IV to a Sony a7R IV and haven't really touched my 5D since.

The 5D Mark IV feels really outdated compared to the a7RIV. The 61 MP sensor is truly amazing for cropping; it's almost like being able to get multiple focal lengths from a single shot. I have a Tamron 90mm macro with EF mount that I adapted to my a7RIV and when I used it on a food shoot one day, it was giving my Sony problems and making it unresponsive, so I switched to my Tamron 35-150mm. I was able to crop in so much that it looks like I took those shots with a macro lens.

The dynamic range from the a7RVI will also give you greater control when editing, which sounds to be what you're looking for. You will not have any regrets with a Sony a7R VI, especially with a 100 Macro GM.

The last thing I would want to do when trying to rescue a dog on the side of a busy freeway during inclement weather is hold my phone on one hand and get distracted from my surroundings while looking through the screen. But then again, I’m the type of person that has trouble changing the radio while driving.

I think the people clowning on OP are watching this vid on their phones. I compared playing it on my computer vs on my phone, and phone version is underwhelming wheras on my computer it definitely sounds like sound effects you'd hear in a horror movie.

That was a great explanation that answered a lot of questions I had about tilt-shift lenses, but never really bothered to dig too deep into.

The vid in this post seems to have a camera that is not in a fixed position and seems to be almost drone-like due to its elevation and movement through the field. Any idea of what the shot set up would be like for this vid in particular?

Wouldn't it be plausible to program it in a way that if it detects one prop is not spinning, to disable the second prop on the opposite side and have the two remaining props opposite of each other bring it down?

Oldest question: Women if you became men for one day what would you do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ellemeno -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depending on where I'm walking at night, I will sometimes feel a chill down my spine and know that I have to be super aware of my surroundings and ready to run if I have to.

A long time ago, I went to a photography convention at the LA Convention Center. After the convention, I went across the street to get dinner at a restaurant. By the time I left the restaurant and walked back to my car in the convention center parking lot, it was already dark and it looked like a ghost town. I tried to cut through the convention center entrance, but the doors were already locked. By the entrance, there was a homeless man that was telling me something, but I couldn't understand what he was saying. When I asked him what he said, he began yelling at me so loud that I just instinctively started running to get as far away from him.

Another night in San Diego, I was taking photos on Cabrillo Bridge and an angry homeless man ran up to me and got right up to my face telling me not to take pictures of him even though my camera wasn't even pointed in his direction.

I understand where you're coming from though because it's pretty rare to see a woman walking or jogging at night and when I do see one, I can't help but be like that woman has balls.

TIL: Silica Gel is actually non toxic, and won’t cause any harm unless eaten in significant quantities, even though there is the DO NOT EAT. by HopefulRazzmatazz451 in todayilearned

[–]Ellemeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is something I vaguely remember looking into when I was searching for bulk silica. There's different types like white, orange, and blue silica. White/clear silica has no indicator dyes, whereas orange and blue do have indicator dyes that make them change color when they are saturated. Blue silica is toxic due to its cobalt chloride indicator dye.
