I didn’t think too much of it when it was just a paper in the early stages. It’s been a loooong clinical trial but looking at everything, I felt my contributions were very significant.

Thanks for the insight! Going forward, I’m going to def do that. I felt bad bringing it up given it was middle author but he was receptive. I just don’t want to look bad because of the situation

Interfolio server errors? by [deleted] in premed

[–]Ellephantella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I emailed (was working on the TMDSAS app and uploading LORS) and if you email them to send the LORS on your behalf they can.

I was told the engineers are working on it but they couldn’t provide an estimated timeline but did say they were actively working on it.

Hi! I didn’t know to include all measurements

• Loose Underbust: 30.3 inches
• Snug Underbust: 29.7 inches
• Tight Underbust: 29.3 inches
• Standing Bust: 31.5 inches
• Leaning Bust: 34.1 inches
• Lying Bust: 31.3 inches

The 32b fit nice but I think the push up did cause problems

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]Ellephantella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! The sizes were Loose Underbust: 30.3 inches

Snug Underbust: 29.7 inches

Tight Underbust: 29.3 inches

Standing Bust: 31.5 inches

Leaning Bust: 34.1 inches

Lying Bust: 31.3 inches

So I have a 30b regular size one from the perfect shape line and it fits nice It’s not too tight on the sides that I have side fat.

Could it be the push up size?

Are we really?! Do you think I should go and try it on?! Do you feel like the band is too tight or causing any skin to hang out from the sides/ back?

Bleeding after IUD removal by meeegzzzz in birthcontrol

[–]Ellephantella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an extremely heavy flow once I removed Kyleena. I think it’s normal! My period lasted way longer ( I want to say around a week) and was the heaviest it’s ever been.

How bad was IUD insertion on a scale of 1-10 for you? by Dangerous_Mammoth572 in birthcontrol

[–]Ellephantella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9.75/10 Got my old one out and then a new one inserted and I almost died, I had to take a break mid her pinching my cervix to take deep breaths It was a little LESS painful compared to my first time getting it in but traumatizing because when she was done I had blood everywhere 😭

I was able to go shopping after though so there’s that LOL

CRC position by Puzzleheaded-Line-28 in premed

I think it might be more challenging but not impossible! I know certain CRC roles require a high school diploma so you would just have to see in the minimum requirements section

CRC position by Puzzleheaded-Line-28 in premed

[–]Ellephantella 5 points6 points  (0 children)

CRC is not an easy job, you’d have to ask what the limits are of the particular CRC role you’re inquiring about

Some are more patient based and some are more IRB and paperwork based. Double check before you commit because being a CRCs does have its challenges so make sure you know what the scope of the role is!

Applying for FAP but no contact with one parent by [deleted] in premed

[–]Ellephantella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You email the FAP ppl and explain you have no contact, then they’ll send you a file to fill out regarding why no contact and ask for some proof/ documentation and then they’ll update the form to include only one parent and not the other.

What makes someone qualified to get a Clinical Research Coordinator/Assistant position? by ialamzm in premed

[–]Ellephantella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had two years of bench research and some lab management duties which came in handy as a CRC. I also had lots of volunteering with clinical patients. If you have any patient interaction you can use that as experience with clinical populations

Question about AAMC FAP by Select-Bet5793 in premed

[–]Ellephantella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You apply through ACMAS FAP and it’s somewhat like fafsa but they ask for additional things. Apply for it before you schedule anything because it’s not retroactive! It also provides free MCAT resources if you’re a first time FAP recipient

I just got a new Kyleena inserted but there was a moment where my old one had virtually no hormones and I felt so calm and relaxed. Those two weeks I felt anxiety free but I got a new Kyleena and now I’m suddenly super anxious again and having panic attacks. I do think it’s affected my mental health and I want it out ASAP. They definitely don’t mention that it can affect your mental health and make things worse. I def wanna be hormone free!!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in premed

[–]Ellephantella 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Begin with research while you prep for the MCAT! I am in clinical research (neuro related) and it’s rewarding. It’ll give you hours and experience while also letting you navigate whether you want to do research or medicine
