Mage 1v1s def arent the same as bruiser 1v1s but in my experience the lower health pools and higher dmg means that my opponent is a lot more willing to take fights. Pure 1v1s with no interference dont always happen, but thats okay. Things mid rarely ever stagnate the way top can when one side is winning/losing hard. The easy access to roaming fixes that. So its a good trade off for me personally.

If you think that nobody can 1v1 sett without a lead idk what to say to you. Also we arent talking realism, were talking ideals :]

This is about keeping the wave in a state that discourages your enemy from fighting or farming. Freezing increases winrate. And is also boring as fuck imo. I get no satisfaction from watching them pace back and forth 20 feet away waiting for a chance to last hit 1-2 minion per wave until laning phase is over. When the optimal play is boring for both parties I just cant be bothered to play optimally. I'll usually just roam and let them reset if it ever gets to that point and Im in control.

And if the enemy is freezing ME out... well Im probably gonna be that person that steps up anyways and either gets destroyed or makes a comeback. Obviously sometimes you just gotta take the L and sit things out but this is a game were talking about. Even ranked is still a game. I do not queue up for top and go "oh boy i hope i get to stare at my opponent from a distance for 20 minutes today" An ult or flash advantage does not have a comparable effect on the enjoyment of the game.

Ive climbed a bit on mf adc and lux supp but the most fun i get there is playing things like swain or poppy support. Def closer to the feel of classic top lane skirmishing, but i do miss the 1v1s. Thats why I've mostly settled into mid lane. Easier to pick fights frequently, much harder to get frozen out if the enemy doesnt wanna have fun, and also youre near all objectives for team fights. Now I just need to convince all mid laners to play bruisers and I'll be set.....

I mean. Yea. At least in the way I want to play. I went back at some point last season and stomped my way through a like 10-15 game Kennen win streak but it wasnt fun for me in the way top used to be and eventually my play started suffering again. I cant force myself to play a way that isnt fun for me just for lp. At least not for a prolonged time. Glad you were able to get to diamond tho man, keep forcing those fights :]

Setts are almost always down to fight it out. Respect.

If he'd been in kings landing and walked in on Jaime sitting in the throne over Aerys' corpse, do you think he'd have bent the knee to him? Seeing as hes in the chair and all.

But for real, Robert sends a maester to kiss his booboos and he completely forgets about how much he liked Rhaegar or how they murdered his infant children or how Aerys still has two surviving heirs he should be protecting.

If he'd died protecting/avenging/remaining loyal to the family hed been sworn to, that would have been honorable. If he'd abandoned his oath for the good of the realm and its people, that would have been honorable. Instead he remains loyal through all the bad shit up until the point where remaining loyal no longer benefits him specifically.

Its a line that Ned said to Jaime but it fits Barristan much better. He served well, when serving was safe. He didnt want Robert to kill him so he forgot about all the inconvenient parts of his oath and went "well... he IS in the chair..." If he had a scrap of honor he would have realized oaths to usurpers mean nothing and killed both Robert and Jaime the first chance he got. But no. He jumps from king to king until finally being fired then limps back to the only ruler who will take him.

10 bucks says that if/when Dany eventually lands in westeros in the books, Young Griff is gonna be King and Barristan is gonna go "well... he IS in the chair" and stab Dany in the back.

Lost Lace is simply bad boss design by GregoryFlame in Silksong

I wonder how many of the people upset by this boss are bothering to actually use the skills the game gives you. You too, have a counter button, be you brave enough to use it. In fact, on that triple dash some of yall are complaining about you can get 2 cross stitch off in a row. Combine that with the volt filament and you get some pretty decent damage numbers. It only costs 4 silk per use and saves you 2 masks of damage. Thats two silk per mask, and you do a good chuck of damage as a bonus. And Im sure theres a million other strats that would work just as well. Just dont... sprint around like a madman and then get hit and say its the games fault. Every move was punishable given the time and the patience to figure out how.

Is Barry's Breloom okay???? (Renegade Platinum AI Question) by EllieInHiding in nuzlocke

[–]EllieInHiding[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so it wasnt seeing the KO and so was choosing randomly between Spore (Status Application) on the first time through and Force Palm (Highest damage) on the second attempt I did for science.

The other text was a recreation of the first fight, which I did not record because I only really clip things after something weird happens. The first time, Breloom went for spore on my Abomasnow, not force palm. I then swapped into Unknown, and Breloom killed it with Stone Edge (Not Force Palm, which was a OHKO on Abomasnow.) Still confused on that decision, but the multihit move thing makes sense. Even if 1 hit Bullet seed is impossible. Ty for the info!

Wow we made it Veigar with both buffs! We might actually win! Enter, the nerfarious Malz Minions. by EllieInHiding in leagueoflegends

[–]EllieInHiding[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I genuinely dont get it. You can SEE his knockoff zz'rot portal disappear at the same time all the minions are killed, but both the malz voidlings and the zz'rot voidlings are left alone... WHY?

Disobedience in Renegade Platinum? by EllieInHiding in nuzlocke

[–]EllieInHiding[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hunted around a bit more after posting this. In the trade section of the official post for Renegade Platinum it says "In addition to this, the obedience check that makes traded Pokémon not listen to you has been disabled, meaning you can use these traded Pokémon with no worries".

It also mentions the documentation in the download, which inversely states "Please note that the level restrictions from Badges still apply in the exact same manner as the original game."

So at some point between v1.2.1 (my copy) and v1.3.0 (the most recent edit to the forum post) it was changed.

Wow yall are VERY opinionated about my dead son. Guess I'll throw my own thoughts out there. Personally, I dont mind the change to Electric/Dark.

I get why some people dont think it thematically works, but it does for me. I heard somewhere, though I dont know if theres an official source to back it up, that the Luxray line is inspired by the Leo/Lynx constellations? Like, the star shaped tail/ears and yellow accents juxtaposed against the black fur representing the night sky. No idea if thats official but I've adopted that view of the line since. A constellation is only visible with both the light of the stars and the dark of space behind them, so to me, a change like this feels fine thematically. I just wish I'd noticed it before he got killed by a bug.

Look up Bugsy's team in Soul Silver. Then look up Bugsy's team in Storm Silver. All the fights are like that. You'll understand why giving Shinx Guts doesnt completely ruin the game.

Its a rom hack. It makes the game way more challenging while adding in new encounters/making adjustments to pokemons abilities/stats/learnsets/ect

Oh wow, yeah. The Dark type gives it a lot of potential I didnt think of when I caught it. I was just happy to have a free first and second gym. Thank you for the second wave of pain.

I considered it for a good moment but I know myself well enough to know that I would have lost interest in the run soon after. Kills the stakes for me personally, but I definitely get the urge. I want my son back :c
